He does not like to be tackled.

Runs through arm tackles with ease, bounces off of defenders not wrapping up, and fights for extra yardage every play.

Didn't see 4.4 speed in the video. Unless there are quite a few defenders in his league that run around a 4.4, He just didnt seem to run away from defenders like I was expecting he would

Overall I think he is a really good prospect. I love that we are in early and he wants to leave Texas

This was my immediate impression as well.

Guys: 4.4 is great speed in Texas, but plenty of 4.4s to go around there...

Nearly every high school in Texas has a few.

So yes, his speed is there and so is the defense's.

Really enjoyed the way he ran. Hit holes hard, but was also patient waiting for the pulling guard or H-back. One thing that I saw needs work is his tendency to carry the ball in his right hand. He did hold it in his left a few times, but I saw that even when running to the left it was on his inside hand. Other than that i believe he is a great athlete. Good offer.

I thought that at first also, but once you watch the last two minutes or so of the video you see him have that breakaway speed. The earlier highlights could have been when he was younger. But, watch the last minute or two and you will see he has that breakaway speed.

Probably because that's one ballsy statement by you. lol

A lot of times the fastest guy on a highschool team won't run faster than a 4.55.

In the state of Texas?

I'm talking 4A and 5A schools.

A ton of 3A schools in Texas have elite speed all over as well.

I'm in the SE corner of NM: 30 minutes from the Texas border. Lubbock, Midland, Odessa, El Paso, Amarillo, Dallas, Abilene, are chock full of 4.4 speed.

I know the talent doesn't seem to slow down interior within the Houston, Austin, San Antonio areas.

We had three 4.4 guys and a 4.3 guy on our roster in SE NM my senior year.

Speed doesn't equate to star caliber though guys.

Hips, posture, angles, etc. equate to ability along with speed.

Eric Galindo is a good example of a speed demon minus some of the intangibles college level D-1 coaches thought wasn't necessarily there.

You're right, probably not, but when the fastest track guys in the state run 4.4s, there probably aren't many of those running around.

Beau: You're wet behind the ears. Stay next to the fireplace infatuated with young girls.

I would any amount of money against "nearly every high school in Texas" having multiple guys who run 4.4s. That is blazing fast and there are ~1,700 high schools in Texas.
