1/10 huh. What does that make Syracuse who was a 14 point dog to WVU and won by 26, a 40 points differential.

Sagarin actually ranks WVU 4 points better than USF a team WVU actually beat by 3 points while favored to win by 1. You never let facts get in the way of your urinating posts, do you?

Nonetheless my post had nothing to do with comparing WVU and USF, as you well knew.

Clemson folded and was outscored 43-16 after the strip .

Even a Wolverine troll like you should be able to grasp that.

Not particularly sure why you constantly call me a wolverine troll. Over 4000 posts here, why would I stay? Someone has to play devils advocate because not only is the koolaid spiked around here, but people are smoking shamrocks like crack. My job is to keep you all grounded.

West Virginia lost to 5-7 Syracuse and 7-5 Louisville and barely beat 5-7 USF by 3 points. They also only beat PITT by 1 point, the same PITT team ND struggled with. WVU is good but not THAT good. Just had a really good game and to be honestly I was extremely happy because a lot of people thought Clemson was among the best teams in the country.

Apparently the Big East shouldn't have an AQ team. This shows otherwise.

This^.

I watched WVU a lot this year; they looked horrible against some pretty bad or mediocre teams -- Syracuse, Louisville to name two -- and their "quality" wins were over Cincy, Rutgers, Pitt, and USF, and three of those were three points or less. They were an erratic, not well coached team (dumb penalties and other boneheaded plays). Last night had all the markings of the same kind of close game, and they were getting raked on defense -- until the goal line fumble -- that was the backbreaker and Clemson quit after that, as an immature team will. I would not go too crazy over WVU based on one game against a very young team -- I think they were overrated all season. Their rankings were proof at how little football most of the pollsters actually watch.

Yeah, isn't that the crazy thing? WVU was not very good at all this year. Very average both defensively and offensively... solid, but not spectacular.

And they hang 70 points on Clemson? Unreal. Clemson had some realllllly ugly losses this year that would have ND fans calling for the heads of that entire coaching staff. 4 losses is inexcusable with that easy schedule.

Why?

Clemson couldn't stop any offense this season except VT's twice.

WVU's leading rusher, Garrison, is out and he accounted for 50% of WVU's rushing yds and added 24 catches.

Because of exactly what happened... the Rose Bowl was the best match up with the contrast... this game had play makers and I expected a ton of points... THought it would be a real fun watch... and it was for one half... lol

Hmm, the ACC is FAR worse than I thought. I always give the ACC more credit than their due and this game.... just, wow.
