End of the season Top 10 team

Well guys this is my first post. Love the site finally decided to join... Thought id share a interesting fact with my first post. With that win today I believe Michigan State will end the year in the top 10. This will be the first win over a team that finishes the season in the top ten since 2002 Michigan (Tyrone's first season.. wow how ten years flew by lol) correct if wrong please.

Our schedule is going to have 5 top 25 teams on it at the end of the year... and 4 top 10 teams. That's crazy hard.

Besides LSU and Oklahoma State I can't think of any other teams that played a schedule like that. Until we actually dumb down the schedule expecting 10+ wins is completely impractical.

Unless our boys pull some rabbits out of their hats next year then this season may have put the bk era on life support in retrospect... When the following seasons schedule is what it is, you have to beat USC, usf and um when you can. Another average year will not go over well a year from now. Anyway, the point is, there has to be more wins like msu or, like it or not, fair or not, the heat will be on.

Yea, going from #17 to #10 is a huge jump... You got to figure that the loser of LSU/BAMA along with Stanford and (maybe) Wisconsin will all stay in the top ten. That means 3 games cover 5 or 6 top ten teams. With only 4 or 5 slots left, I just don't see MSU making it in. You got to figure that teams like Boise, Baylor, winner of Vtech vs Michigan, winner of KSU vs ARK, Oklahoma, South Carolina and others will be in line in front of MSU.

So yea, close, but no cigar.

The BCS is not what im going by. They're 13th in coaches and 12th in A.P as long as Arkansas beats KSU (which is expected) they will finish in the top 10 most likely for at least one of the two polls

Well, regardless of whether or not they do finish in the top 10 in one of the polls, I think it's fair to say that it's been a pretty rough patch for ND football. Next year the floaties are off and Kelly and his boys are going to have to sink or swim in a pretty deep pool.
