Rivals High - What's in a number? Apparently quite a bit

It should be an honor for these kids just to get to play in the game. Instead the ungrateful DBs (not defensive backs) whine and complain because they were not given their favorite number. The people who issue the jerseys should have a take it or leave it policy. Take the number or don't play in the game.

The sense of entitlement is frustrating to see in young kids...The sad thing is that I don't see it changing anytime soon. There are thousands of kids that would kill to be in their shoes. The Seymour kid saying he is really going about his recruitment based on whether #1 is craaaaaazy...I'd yank my offer even if I did have the number available because imo, that's a HUGE red flag on character

Let them whine, if I was in charge, I would tell the little babies this is the number that is being issued to you if you don't like it "LEAVE" we don't need you.

Just to play devil's advocate:

What worse?

A) Kids whining about jersey numbers

or

B) Grown men whining about kids whining about jersey numbers over the internet

I would be lying if I said when I was going through recruiting that I didn't check out the roster online to see what numbers were available. It MOST DEFINITELY wasn't going to influence my decision.
