Where does he fall though? Is he really big enough to play RB in the NFL?

I don't think he will have much of an NFL career.

A lot of quarterbacks get labeled a "product of the system," and I think this can apply to James, an RB, as well.

Look at the way he ran the ball with Oregon, simply sprinting to the edge and turning it up--that doesn't happen in the NFL. They are too fast. He absolutely gashes people, but in my opinion it has more to do with Oregon's marvelous offensive system than his running ability. Don't get me wrong, he is fast as ****, but in the NFL you have to be able to do everything well and one thing better than anyone else to have a spot for long. I just don't see it.

just saying...marshal faulk was just a little thing coming out of college and was very electric like james...he just needs to be moved around in the slot, rb and probably be pretty decent pr

You should watch more Oregon games. Most of his long runs happen when he breaks through the defense between the tackles.

Darren Sproles has had a pretty good career and he is a little guy too.

the NFL is evolving and now w/ having multiple backs...he would be a great fit for a team...i know i wouldn't mind my colts adding some elite speed to their backfield...

RBs are a dime a dozen. That is why I would never draft one high.

PS: James is apparently refuting the report he is NFL bound.

Sproles is super short, but 190 with legs the size of tree trunks.

Faulk was pretty solid at 210.

Maybe he'll be the next Warrick Dunn, but I haven't seen the power from James that Dunn ran with.

I see him more of a change of pace player. Maybe a kick returner or a slot reciever

I think he'll do surprisingly well for whoever picks him up. He's very quick and if he can stay healthy and gain some weight, I think he'd fit well into an NFL offense.
