I wanted to play college hockey and never got the chance because of a bad shoulder injury. Getting offers and interest taken away is not very pleasant... It can suck sometimes, but it's life. What can you do.

i understand what you're saying, but just be honest with these kids and tell them the truth, let them know what's going on. i understand not everyone is bred to play division 1 sports, but have the man pebbles to tell them.

I think ultimately it was the other way around. Definitely feel he'd be a commit right now had we offered. Seems like a good kid, he'll land on his feet somewhere he is really wanted/needed.
