The Bruins could lose bowl eligibility by losing in the conference title game. UCLA would be left with 6-7 record and have to petition the NCAA leadership council for a waiver to regain eligibility.

Under NCAA rules, the conference would have to fill all its bowl commitments before a waiver would be granted. The Pac-12 has seven bowl spots and only seven eligible teams because USC is in the last year of a bowl ban.

Sorry, he needs to go. 21-28 in a weak pac 10/12 is unacceptable. The real problem is if UCLA will spend some money to bring in a decent coach.

The fact that there would be a 7-6 team getting an auto-bid to a BCS bowl (if UCLA wins) would show such a flaw that I think the BCS would never live that down. I honestly don't think the BCS makes it to the year 2020. I think there will be a plus-one model for a playoff system at the bare minimum by 2020.
