OK, maybe you missed my question. I realize it is possible, even likely, that if LSU loses they would still get a chance to play in the NCG. But my question was how is it a foregone conclusion? Irishsteelhead made it seem like it was a fait accompli. Is it actually, or is that just the best guess at this point?

Most people in the biz believe it to be so. LSU is too good to not be included. Unless Arkansas or Georgia can hang a bunch of points on them, I would expect they will play for it all. LSUs resume is just too good at this point.

I'm definitely not a BCS expert, so maybe I'm missing something here. But how is it a foregone conclusion that LSU will play in the NCG? If they lose to Arkansas, isn't it possible that the voters could vote both Arkansas and Bama (and maybe another team) ahead of LSU? And couldn't that be enough to bump them out of the top 2?

Maybe it isn't etched in stone, but if history is any indicator, they will be there no matter what. I was just going by the percentages, so I should have been less definitive with my words. Anything can happen, but there really isn't any scenario IMO that could bump them out at this point.

Arkansas only loss was to Alabama where they were exposed like a virgin on prom night. Expect more of the same. LSU .

Arkansas 21 LSU 31. But I think Arkansas takes an early lead, something like 14-0 or 21-0.

Similiar to what happened in the Auburn/Alabama game last year. Everyone will think an upset will happen then LSU will come back.
