Coach K has done it the right way. Very glad someone like him has the record. He is a terrific compliment to John Wooden when you want to talk about the greatest coaches in college basketball. But there is only one Wooden. All others battle for 2nd.

Come on Bobby did it with less talent than the both of them i'll give Coach K some respect, not so much for Wooden they bought them teams thats not the RIGHT WAY. Bobby had 1 yes 1 NBA All-Star not even a discussion who the better coach is. U might not like Bobby but he did graduate his players and got the most out of MOST of them!!!

Wooden and the UCLA program was dirty as hell

Coach K is an incredible human being. After Joe Paterno went down, the list of "Great Coaches, Great People" got a lot smaller.

Congratulations to him.

I know a lot will disagree with me but in my opinion I think Coach K is the greatest college basketball coach of all time.

Don't understand the hatred for Coach K. His teams play hard, they play smart, and he graduates around 80% of his team (ND is 100%, but Kentucky is about 44%).

Glad he has this record...hoping Bill Self breaks it while at KU.

How many of his players who don't go pro does he graduate? I would think it's higher than 80%.

I don't watch much basketball, but Coach K does seem like he does it the right way. The student passing his mentor thing is pretty cool.

Can't help but think about the big Might Have Been. In Feinstein's book on Bobby Knight, it said when Bobby coached at West Point, he hoped to become the coach at Notre Dame. He even contacted Joyce and said, if Johnny Dee ever leaves, he'd be interested. What an interesting what if that would've been. Instead Dame got Digger.
