only in a bowl game
I understand they do it for bowl games but it looks good. Just something the team should consider.

the players seem to like them, I think they are nice, they should probably only do it 2-3 times a year though.
New uniforms please Irish's players - College Football Nation Blog - ESPN
does anyone remember when they wore the all gold for the spring game years back?

This. I really don't have an opinion one way or the other on the looks of the helmet. My reluctance to embrace the shamrocks on the helmet is that it harkens back to a pretty ignamonious era of ND football. What are we trying to do, memorialize some our least successful seasons?
I am glad the players like them. One of the biggest parts of a recruiting process is how the recruit feels when he meets the current players. If the players are jacked up and excited about the program it makes for a better sell. Speaking for experience.
I don't like the shamrocks at all. Looks cheesy to me. I don't understand why we don't put the Leprechaun on the helmet, I think that would look way better. I don't want the leprechaun all of the time but for these once in a while games I think that would be much better than the shamrocks.

For? or From?
Are you sure you're not Kevin Kopka?
I like the helmets. Something new. Something to talk about. The players love them. Cierre Wood wants a "blackout" jersey or all green option too
