Anyone Watching "Walking Dead" on AMC?

She deserves to be eaten like a juicy hamburger for being that dumb.
They've already wasted wayyy too much time looking for her...no chance that girl has survived.

I kept feeling like she was gonna walk up to her mom in the last episode, all zombie-fied!

If it happens, I called it.

That's what I'm thinking. It wouldn't surprise me at all.
I've thought she needed to die anyway once she got lost. She is dead weight. She cannot use a weapon, and does nothing but cause trouble for the group.
Also one thing I found interesting from episode 2 was the mother didn't seem too stressed....if it was my kid I was be out there constantly looking for her.

One thing I've noticed in the first 2 episodes of this year, as well as the ones from last season, is that Rick's wife is hot.

That is all.

SIAP, still not going to read the thread, but when did they learn how to run?

I wasn't either. Pretty crazy. Did the cutting of his hair symbolize his rebirth as a darker Shane?

As soon as the beginning started I knew he had done something horrible...you could tell with the way he was "transforming" himself and the look on his face. Then as soon he got back to the farmhouse without the fat guy, I knew he'd shot him...however, I had NO CLUE he just shot him in the knee instead of the head or chest...in the words of Rick James, that was COLD-BLOODED!!!!

I'm loving this season

I hated how the whole episode was at night. I couldn't see sh*t on the tv screen.

You can probably watch the episide online. Also, you should check if they do encore presentations during the week. Finally, many cable companies, such as Comcast, offer them for free through their on demand services.

Well I know they usually show the previous episode before the new one every week, right?

I didn't understand the shot to the knee as opposed to head myself, but I suppose the dead would prefer a wiggling living human and he just hedged his bets. But really at that point they were both in rough shape and I think they probably both would have made it out.

Shane knew that Otis' screaming and struggling would attract all of the zombies. If he was just laying there dead, they probably would have walked right past him since they seem to be attracted to sound (walked right past while the gang was hiding under the cars on the highway). Of course, that doesn't take away from how f'ed up the whole thing was. But I disagree that both would have made it out. Shane was limping and Otis was...fat. Btw, why the hell did they park the truck so damn far away?

Also, the new show that they previewed during this episode looks pretty sweet: Hell on Wheels. I've watched every AMC show religiously, and I doubt this one will disappoint.

The way I took it, and I'm not saying I am right, was that he learned that, if put in that situation, his hair could be a liability. So he was cutting in close so that wouldn't happen again. So, yes, it is his rebirth to the darker Shane, but I also saw it as a survivalist plan to cut his hair so that if he is caught between a rock and a hard place (or a fat man and a zombie horde) again, he could get out of it easier.

Great ending to this episode. It really caught me off guard. This Shane scenario adds a whole new depth to the dynamic of the group.

Also digging the relationship with Darryl and Andrea. Darryl is, by far my favorite character right now. He is just so honest and forthright about everything he does. I really respect his abilities and what he brings to the group.

Yeah they don't go after dead bodies. Shane needed Otis alive so the horde would be delayed. From a survival standpoint, brilliant move. From a human standpoint, total **** move. If he doesn't do that, both are dead.

I am wondering how long Herschel will be okay with the new group staying at his pad. If I have a retreat location with supplies and power and stuff like that, I might not be too happy about another group just showing up and using what we have. Especially when you aren't sure how many more there might be. If another 4 or 5 people show up (Dale, Andrea, Darryl, other lady and maybe her daughter) that could strain Herschel's resources.

So, does the group put up a fight if Herschel says, "You gotta go"???

Love the show, but I feel like it contradicts itself at times. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the walkers move at different speeds from scene to scene. Also, there is randomly hot water at the farm, but there does not seem to be at other locations (as seen in the first episode when the black father and son are ecstatic to be able to take a hot shower at the police station).

The show is awesome though. Definitely keeps you guessing.

Hospitals, Fire stations, police stations have diesel generators for backup power.

I really hadn't even thought about Hershel having electricity. But when you think about it, it wouldn't be that hard to have a running generator. You can leave it off until nighttime and get the gas from the cars on the highway.

Has anybody read the Walking Dead comics? Did Otis die the same way?

Yeah, I know that those places do. I'm not sure about a farm though. The place seems way to stocked with supplies. Didn't Rick eat a sandwich? Where did they get that from? I just don't like the contrast from the first house that Rick is in (with the black father and son) to the farm. The house was completely covered up, and the farm is wide open. The farm just seems way too safe.

They move at different speeds depending on how "fresh" they are.
