I'm a student at Michigan and the arrogance and condescending 'big brother' comments are enough to make me root for State. They also need a loss to deflate their egos some. Dare I say it? Go Sparty!

I just looked at some trends on this match up . . . and I still have no idea which way it will go. MSU is 3-0-1 ATS over the last four years in this game with Michigan being a paltry 3-12 against the spread on the road under DRod. This leans toward MSU easy; but this year with Hoke, they are 5-1 with their one loss being 31-3 against EMU when they were -30.5 favorite. They are beating the spread by over 12 points a game (including the loss), so this obviously trends to UM.

Michigan State enjoys a powerful home field advantage as well.


They match-up well against each other offense v. defense. Given MSU's ST and home field advantage, I'm feeling good about a Sparty victory.
