Dropkick Murphys is exactly what needs to be pumped in. The older generations would hate it, but if played in moderation and done with some class, their music is a great way to get you pumped up and keep the stadium rockin.

Hell, someone should just book these guys for the USC pep rally.

I read in another thread that it was shot down because BC uses it. WTF!? Anyway I would like something like this too.

<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/IpOoPQ6JmbM?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/IpOoPQ6JmbM?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object>

Here is the Wisconsin jump around I tried to post earlier but to no avail.

i love the irish but i wish the fans would be more into it, louder and more friendly, after air force game we went to commons to see after party and city was dead, but thankfully it was dead so instead of partying we went see grotto and toured campus,

I have been to at least 3 games a year for the past 12 years and I agree that the stadium needs to be louder. A couple of years ago I was at the Michigan State game and saw Vince Vaughn on the sideline and stood up to take a picture and was told to sit down by the people in back of me. Kind of p'd me off a little because I am a person who is hoarse by the end of the game due to all the yelling. I can't wait for the USC game and am hoping that the place is rocking. I am in Section 23 Row 34 and I think we have some prudes around us asking people to sit down and not cheer loudly. Had to laugh at the USF game because someone called an usher over to someone cheering loudly by us to try and get them in trouble and the usher basically said that there was nothing they could do because the person was not drunk...

Either one of these would work:

i have heard from very good sources that Notre Dame will going ALL out for the game against USC. It is believed that towels and noise makers will be given out at the game, they apparently want Notre Dame to actually have home field advantage. If this is true, I'm bringing the loudest stuff I can find!

If that is that case - that would be awesome... Any updates on a color to wear? Are they thinking a black out, green out, anything to make this first game under the lights in 21 years more special? Considering the number of recruits that will be present, we should not leave anything on the table...

There's a student event with over 1000 people attending on facebook saying wear green, however nothing has been announced yet. My guess is that students will ditch the shirt for green at night.

by all means - let's make sure that this is kept close to the vest... because USC could play differently if they know the color the fans will wear... anyone else think this is strange?

It's a greenout. Please tell everyone that you know who is going to wear green. It probably won't matter anyway since most of the older people refuse to coordinate colors.

Sounds sweet, but it's a corner of the stadium. Couple sponsors pony up for some Beat SC t-shirts to hand out at the Stadium gates. ONLY way to make it happen.

with the money that our alumni has to throw around - is this possible more than a week out? Again, considering the number of recruits and the national TV coverage - it sure would look good if we had our act together ahead of time, rather than waiting until the last minute or doing nothing at all...

This is what I envision if folks within the stadium walls become involved. Too bad it's not green.

If we had/have our stuff together, this has been mulled over since they decided to make this a night game. We were able to get 80,000 "9-3 isn't good enough" towels out for the Penn State game in 2006. They could silk screen 80,000 t-shirts in time.

I hope not man. I had that garbage sitting in SECTION 1 in 2006 for the Penn State game too. Guy that threatened to kick my *** and call an usher to kick me out for standing up and cheering. Sad thing was he probably had more supporters than I did.

Me, my dad, and my 7 year old son will be STANDING next Saturday. Don't like it, F U. Go play bridge.

let's be honest. there is a very slim chance of a green-out happening. of course the students will be able to pull it off, but that's just about 1/5 of the stadium, if even that. the problem is how spread out the alumni base is in age and geographically.

Now, I'm not picking on the older fans, because I know that's frowned upon here, but let's face it. There will be the older fans (and some of the younger alums too, so as not to be totally discriminatory) who will A) not hear about the green out or B) not care. There will be thousands of people who know about it (if the word even gets out enough) but don't wear anything green because they don't like green or it's too cold for their green t-shirt. The only way to get a full green-out would be for shirts to be handed out at the gate. Even then there will be people who don't wear them.

I'm not saying I'm not for it, though. If a green out could be succesfully coordinated, that would be INCREDIBLE and it would look pretty sick.

You know what else would be cool? Green pom poms like scUM had. Those looked really cool.

That makes for an interesting question, do we have any rich alumni on IE!? ;)

The game is gonna be pretty chilly out, so unless someone gives out green hoodies or jackets... doubt it will happen

well the obvious response to this is to put the shirts over a hoodie or jacket but that will be met with a lot of moaning and groaning from the people who just want to enjoy the game their way

If the cold is an issue how is Penn St. doing it over and over again late in the year?

Let's forget all the Green Out/White Out/Blue Out nonsense and just go punch USuCk in the mouth. Let's be perfectly clear here....Once the team runs out of the tunnel, if they're still watching what color we're wearing in the stands, we're screwed.

i think you guys are underestimating our crowd. even the old people (those that are going to be at such a late game) realize this is the biggest home game of the year. like ive said before, if you give ND fans 5 extra hours to tailgate, they will have that stadium rocking

Well then my friend, might I suggest the loudest, most annoying thing I have ever heard. Bring my ex-wife & when you get her in there, tell her I got a raise & she isn't going to get her 14% of it. Guaranteed loudest, most ear splitting bitch on the planet. Then simply tell her about some kind of good fortune I have had each time you want to make that noise. I like to call my invention " The MEGABITCH 3000":curse:

No disrespect, but it'll be 1/4 empty by the start of the third quarter.

I think trying a "Blue Out" makes the most sense, that way even if the "elders" refuse to wear the shirt, their hair will still help the cause.
