Most important thing going into week 5 is that the guys are taking care of them self and going into Saturday and are 100% and ready to play.

Purdue averages over 200 yards rushing a game.

There inside out on defense line is one of the biggest ND will play this year

Sweet. Thanks for doing this again. I'll keep repping you every week for it.

Alot of things need to built besides winning, all the little things. Two things to look for is poise down the stretch in a game when most needed, You can't talk about that just able to do it. Also they look for confidence, the PITT game was the only time this year they showed both.

Auburn had six games last year that were by 6 points or went into overtime, every game is not a blowout, not matter the team.

Looking at the first two weeks gaining over 500 yards and losing. Shows that gaining yards is not important or how it is done, just win.

He wants to play better but it is not crucial as long as they win games.

People over analyze every week. If you look at all the games, they are all different.

He has had inexperienced QB's before this is nothing new. They will talk about TO's and learn.

He thinks that the tough schedule benefits the team later in the year but saying that you can't lose early games because it becomes very difficult to get into a BCS game.

If you play a weak team, you are able to play your starters at a limited amount and save them for later but ND is always playing starters so they just need to be ready.

Tommy isn't a big time runner, so they just call plays that suit him. He is not Denard Robinson.

Throwing a deep ball is not that important but they have a high percentage when they do. When they do do it. They will look to hit more of them

Eifert is important because it allows the offense to strike on a wide front. It makes match ups more difficult for the defense

There will be some games that Floyd won't get the ball 10 times, but they will work on it for him to get the touches. They hope it would be the norm with little catches

Jonas is absolutely crucial for him to see the field. He need to bounce back from the USF game and he has shown he is able to . He didn't get alot of touches but it was just what happened when he was in the game, not on purpose

I'll try to pick it up....

BK would rather take the field advantage then get 2 pts for a blocked kick going out of the end zone.

Profile of his players --- speed and size

Compelling feature is another category - can overcome "profile" making reference to Shembo and Fleming not being their typical "profile"

Punt Return:

Why not Michael?

"It is a different skill set from any other special team"

Maintain focus and concentration while players are waiting to knock your head off.

Muscle memory....to do that and repeat it ---- have the best person back there to do that.

Tommy Rees:

You can put together an incredile highlight reel of tommy this year...AND a blopper reel.

We better not be talking about this again next year or there will be another QB.

Believe he can be more consistent down the road.

Military, saying Tommy isn't a runner is an understatement. He makes Jimmy with his torn toe tendon look like Tony Rice compared to him. :)

Kelly said this? Hes saying he wants Tommy to be the starter next year? Does he plan on telling himself that he is not running an offense that fits Mr Rees

Isn't ND in the top 25 in total yard in offense???? seems like Rees is doing a fine job in this offense... He just needs to cut out turnovers

He did say that but that doesn't rule out anyone else stepping up either this season or in Spring ball next year and taking it away from him.

Tommy is perfect for this offense as a passer....Bonehead int's excluded...He doesn't have a huge arm but he is accurate, and puts the ball where guys can catch it and make plays after the catch....That is what I think makes this offense hard for Dayne, a pass a tiny bit behind a guy on a crossing pattern doesn't seem like that big a deal, but if it gets the wr tackled right there instead of being able to turn it up, it's huge....What Tommy is lacking is the threat of running....If Hendrix/Golson can be accurate along w/ being able to move, one of them will eventually beat out Tommy in my opinion.
