Some tweets from ESPN Scout Inc.'s Kevin Weidl on Notre Dame's NFL prospects and overall talent of the team. I actually really like Kevin Weidl's player analyst, he is a good scout and much better than McCshay.

Beautiful fall day to start here in Pittsburgh. Heading to Heinz to check out the Irish and Panthers. I think Pitt keeps it close but ND=W.

Te'o looks like an absolute stud up close. Strapped together and thick in the lower half. Exactly how you draw it up for a MLB.

Floyd frame is imposing. Thick up top with a long wingspan. Pitt's secondary is going to have their hands full today.

ND has done a great job with recruiting. Definitely pass the eye ball test and should have a substantial more amount of NFL talent in future

Te'o playing like a top 20 pick so far this 1st half. Easy COD for a guy 250+.

Great catch by ND TE Tyler Eifert. He is a mismatch in the middle of the field with Pitt consistently rotating coverage Floyd's way.

The Eifert Tower. This guy is absolutely killing it with Pitt taking Floyd away.

A thought leaving Pitt on my way to WVU. Te'o and Floyd are sure fire 1st rounders.

Floyd continues to impress me. Quick + explosive for that frame. Soft hands. Also impressed with his effort as a run blocker. Mashing dudes

Draft a long time away and there's a lot to play out but it wouldn't surprise me if Floyd isn't the first WR off the board this year.

One thing I love about Floyd is Pitt took him away, but he still contributed. His downfield blocking was beastly.

Folks,
Let's start facing a reality that is staring all of us in the face. TEO is going to be in the NFL next season. I do not blame him one bit and in fact encourage him to take advantage if his stock continues to rise this fall.

It will be interesting to see how BK moves the puzzle pieces to fill that space. I think there are a few options. I could even see Shembo being moved to middle with the talent we have at OLB with Ishaq and Hercules.

Sorry Jonesman, your opinion is not realitly! Teo has said nothing to lead you to that conclusion so it's sheer speculation on your part. IMO, Teo is more likely to finish his education before he departs to the NFL. At least, that's what I prefer to beleive.

You could even go as far as to say Manti has said more about staying 4 years over jumping early. He will stay because it is what God wants him to do.

Wow, that is very interesting. With Blackmon, Jefferey, Fuller and Broyles coming out this year. Congratulations Floyd, big news.

If guys like Andrew Luck, probably the best QB prospect in over a decade, can come back for another year, than Te'o can.

I think it means change of direction.

Thx. That post makes more sense now.

I think T'eo stays. Kelly has a Weird Science "Ken, this is God" set up to keep him on the reservation. For me, I don't see how you come back if you are a solid first rounder.

Not sure about Shembo in the middle, I have seen others question his lateral movement which is not nearly as great has the straight line, catch Graham from behind speed. IDK though.

Real Genius...not Weird Science-- both legitimate top 10 movies of all time though!

Teo:

I think he is back, next year. I think that there will be tremendous pressure on him, to stay the 4 years. He's practically been excused from doing his Mormon mission, and I think that his family and faith will push him to return. How would it look, if he was excepted from the normal requirements of missionary work, and then greedily(that would be the perception of many, but not me) jumped a year early?

Floyd:

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he is the first WR taken, even in the top 5 draft picks. And I think what will set him apart from the other great WRs in this class is his blocking. WRs have to block, in the NFL. You can run a 4.3, have great hands, great leaping ability, and be 6'5", 230...........NFL teams can't use you, if you can't block. While guys like Blackmon will be the "Randy Moss" (big, fast, runs lots of deep patterns) type receiver, I see Michael Floyd as more the Hines Ward type guy. And before anyone gets excited, thinking that I am underselling Floyd; Hines Ward will almost certainly have 1,000 catches, and 12,000 yards, for his career, before Halloween. Those are Hall of Fame numbers. But I think that Floyd will be the kind of guy that can't really make a living off of deep patterns, but will be able to run EVERY route that he is asked to. He'll make double digit catches a game, because he'll be able to line up wherever there is a mismatch opportunity. And he'll be able to run those routes with precision. Barring injury or getting drafted by the Raiders, Michael Floyd has HOF written all over him.

The totally forgot about our most talented player. How do you not scout Heggie at all!?

Well, you're fired.

Hopefully Floyd falls to the bottom half of the first round.. I say this because I want him to go to a good situation.. Quinn and Clausen (although they fell a little) were selected by awful teams in awful situations and had no chance at success.. I want to see floyd go to a great situation where he can be the team's 2nd WR with a great, emerging young QB.. (LIONS!) I really see him having a bright future if he is put in a good situation.. if he goes to the Raiders, Broncos, Seahawks, etc, he may never reach his HOF potential

I'd love to see him on the Bears but I would be the first to admit that is not necessarily in Floyd's best interest. Bears should draft nothing but defense and trade/free agent for offense. They can make plenty of Pro Bowlers out of 6th round defenders while bust first round offensive players. Stick to your strengths and buy the best to fix the weakness!

Sorry, I don't mean to nitpick, but it was "Real Genius", not "Weird Science". I get your point though.

I am just a huge fan of Manti, My eyes are focused on him on the field. His passion, leadership, and production are just flipping awesome. And with Lynch/Tuitt/Williams and the crew I am so excited for our future.

I hope he doesn't go! But, can understand if he does. Just hope he doesn't. Because the D next year will be even more sick if he stays. Gotta love it!

Te'o will probably redshirt 2012 and help Notre Dame go 12-0 in 2013. :)

Both these guys ARE first rounders. Floyd gets it and Teo got it before he came to Notre Dame. This was great stuff! I still think Teo stays for his final year. We'll see-I've been wrong before. Depends on how much he loves Notre Dame and his value to one more year.
