Comments are dead on

Your comments really hit the mark and until the 4t quarter I would say that our offense really missed the opportunity to continually put this game out of reach. Even had some chances to pull away in the fourth but thanks to some TO's we continued to offer gifts to our opponenent. I will say Tommy was clutch on that last drive and we can say that our O player well enough when they had to to win. On the other hand depsite our D being on the field alot less than our offense this was the tired performance of a Charlie Wiess defense. They will have alot to prove after that awful fourth quarter showing. I will say that the phrase "Te Luck of the Irish" may go back to Joe Montana's days but that wad has been long shot. The only way to make up for this is 9 wins with one of them being against the hated USC.

Thanks for reading man. Hopefully, the Irish will put it all together. The frustrating part is you can see the talent they just aren't executing.

im hoping our team (especially the DBs and offensive skill players) have that "come to Jesus" moment like after Tulsa, thats the only thing that gives us a remote outside shot at BCS. yes i said it, this team has the physical weapons to compete for a BCS game, its just a matter of using those tools correctly.

I totally agree, and that is why these last two losses are so frustrating. Just like Kelly said today this team is too talented not to have a breakout soon.

An average team with no excuse for not being at least a good team. Still a chance.

Average teams don't have the tenth best offensive output in the country.

Average teams don't dominate the LOS against their opponents.

2008 was an average team. This is a team with average execution. Different things.

I guess you zeroed in on my "issue"

...why do these guys need overwhelming torment and adversity to lock in and perform? I just wonder if they can't deal w/ expectations...and when all is seemingly lost, they finally loosen up and play the way they can.

I'm guessing as soon as the consensus is, they are dead, and can't make a bowl, they'll go off...if that indeed happens, what do you do about that if you are BK?
