It wasn't a bad post by the OP. From HIS eyes, that's what he saw. Remember when I went to the USC scrimmage and wrote about it...some SC fans were up in arms (it got spread around to a USC site), but that is what I saw.

Now, I will disagree though with the score thing. ND dominated much of the game. USF scored one TD. ND drove up and down the field. 3 turnovers inside the 5. A missed chip shot (I swear, if Ruffer connects we win. We'd be down by 6 with ALL the momentum. The crowd was seriously jacked that half), and muffed punt, another INT, and about 96 drops from Theo. We simply could not have screwed that game up any worse.

And yet if that games goes another 6 minutes we win.

But that's football. We didn't deserve to win. Congrats USF on the win.

As Jay Z said, "On to the next one"...

Bravo good sir. Well said. Difference between this loss and others from the past few years, our defense stepped up. The O was uncharacteristicly out of whack yesterday. That can be rectified. Fact is, all those mistakes and only lost by 3. This team is talented and different from years past. 2-3 losses should have been expected this season. Key is stop the bleeding now. I believe they will do that against Michigan. The O looked like they were already thinking about Michigan.

I disagree with the initial post. ND did not hold on to the ball. That is their fault they own that and I will make no excuses for it because that is part of the game. But he is most correct that the final score was not as close as the game. The Irish weaknesses the 3 p's penalties, punts & punt returns. USF had short fields, the defense did well to hold USF to field goals except for one decent drive that for USF. USF, should be applauded, they played a superior team, yet they found a way to win.

Friday, I told my son that I did not think this was our year to be NC's. But, I thought we would be in the next 2 years. We still have time to have a remarkable season. This game truly reminds me of Super Bowl III. Most of you will probably have to look that game up to see who played. Let me save you the time. Colts vs Jets. Namath's Guarantee. That is all most people remember about the game. How the Jets beat the Colts The Colts missed a 27 yard FG their first drive, then they were picked off in the end zone after having the ball at the 12, Then the Colts missed a 40+ yard FG, they would turn the ball over 4 more times including another pass picked off in the end zone.

So what your saying is no one cares how the Colts lost and only remember that they lost.
Yup sounds about right to me.

11. The USF traveling band of obnoxious morons possess the finest spray paint in the Big East. Just ask the new hockey rink. It was very impressed.

Does not suprize me. I live here in the Tampa area and although large, USF is nothing but a second rate run down campus in the crappy getto part of town and the student population reflects that to a point. Don't even have their own football stadium have to use Raymond James Stadium. Be careful coming here next season stay close to the Channel Side area hotels and drive to Raymond James.

The more I think about it the more Kelly reminds me of Rich Rodriguez. UM turned the ball over 3-5 times a game his entire time there while RR went nuts on the sideline. Maybe Kelly just makes the players too nervous to play football. Yesterdays game reminded me of the 2008 Michigan-ND game in which Michigan turned the football over around 7 times. We gave away at least a half dozen games over the RR years just giving the other team the ball. I don't feel too good about Kelly right now. It's just too much like Rich Rodriguez.

I'm not that worried.
