Jon Jones VS Rampage

While i believe Jones will pull off the W i believe Rampage is being written off a bit soon im going to give a breakdown of how i think it'll go i welcome insight thoughts and opinions.

I believe the first round will be one of those slow boring feeling out phases nobody likes, both will throw big but nothing significant will land, I envision a Jones takedown being the highlight and plenty of calls from the reff to pick up the action. R1 Jones

Round two will be a little better, look for Jones to land early and Page to press him up against the cage and grind and dirty box his way to a takedown and some good GNP .R2 Page

Round 3 both will come out throwing bombs, and heres when it gets a little tricky, we've never seen Jones take a legit shot to the jaw, if Page connects enough it could be lights out, more likely look for a crazy spinning elbow or some such off the wall technique send page into retirement

Well just to let u know this is not a good spot for mma! I have tried but kinda feels like people here think it is to rough. That being said Jackson will be over matched start to finish! He is so much smaller than jbj. Look what Forrest g did to him! U will see leg kicks plentiful. And a reach that is the longest in LHW history. If rampage gets close to him don't forget the judo throws that JBJ possess. The only thing rampage has going for him is his KO power. That might work for guys his size, but JBJ is a legit heavyweight! Don't see this or SUGAR going into the fourth round.

I dont think itll go past 3, but Pages experience will serve him well

yes i did, either way it wont go past 3, i honestly believe JBJs chin will be an achilles heel if not he is god and truelly has no weakness. allow me to clarify, by all means i believe Bones has this i am merely suggesting his chin may betray him

I believe if jones wins, it will come by sub. Rampage will have to ko him to get the victory.

Either way, rashad humps his way to the victory over whoever wins this bout.

JBJ chin is not a Achilles. Rampage can't get on that level for his hook to be ko power! Wait till u see the square up for the weigh in.

Agreed Sugar will beat whoever wins this bout, I never really jumped on the Bones hype train, if you think for a moment LHW is the most random division in MMA, at one time it was "rampages time" then it was Forrest's run, then it was Sugar, Then it was the year of the dragon, We were treated to Shoguns resurgence now we have Bones, this division is unpredictable to say the least so expect the unexpected

Georgia every fighter has a weakness we havn't seen JBJ's yet i was merely suggesting that may be his, and rest assured Page will crack him right in the jaw, he is not Indestructable, and it was you who said earlier that Rampage has ko power

I live here in ABQ and they both (at one time) were part of Jackson's...I am torn on who I want to win-- however, I think JBJ will win via his deadly elbows (on the ground)!

Yikes...coffee please. I am talking Rashad and JBJ....yet the thread is for Rampage and JBJ. im retireing...=P

Sugar has a psychological advantage over JBJ, lets not forget that he already ducked him once, as soon as Rashad had another fight lined up JBJ miraculously healed, im no DR but i do know a little about injuries predicating to fight sports, while im nothing special i dedicated 6 years of my life to mma and you'd well know if you could fight or not ahead of time hands arnt tricky,

reguarding Rampage Rashad already beat him once he'd follow the same formula to do it again

Rashad had a very hard time with machidas counter strikes! We see how that turned out! not to knock ur 6 years

no disrespect taken my friend, but as the gentlemen above me posted there 2 different fighters and Machida is lightyears faster then Bones and 1000 times more evasive, there overal striking is incomparable Bones is wild Machidas skilled

What a lot of ppl forget is that at Jackson's Rashad and JBJ use to spare all the time. And what I have been told is that they were pretty evenly matched...again that is what i use to hear at my BJJ/Muay Thai Gym.

Yeah but being a martial artist you know, as well as i do sparring is never all out and i believe JBJ is scared he blatantly ducked Sugar

I predict I'm gonna be staring at Arianny Celeste saying it's just not fair.
I think Jones wins it. His biggest mistake would be trying to stand and bang.
I'm thinking a repeat of the Rampage Evans fight, but I won't count Rampage out just because of his power.

I guess u guys dont watch the same fights i watch! Machida has some of the sickest angles to his punches and kicks! JBJ angles are just as good and come from a even futher distance. But thats what i love about MMA, u never know! JBJ still dominates rampage and sugar.

Normally yes....i agree. Again it is what I am hearing from Jacksons...their sparing seasons were pretty intence.

Either way should be a very good fight.

I would love to see Anderson Silva and JBJ fight at a catch weight.

The Spider and Bones Jones would end in a Rocky-esque knock out of both fighters... and of course the world would implode because of the sheer amount of awesome being released.

Seriously though, the scariest part of JBJ is that we have yet to see his ceiling. Rampage wont test him unless he gets in a lucky punch... there is always the punchers chance with 4oz gloves.

I think Rashad would be a good match, simply for the fact that they know each other, both personally and in terms of fighting style.

A fight with Spider would make me consider a trip to wherever the venue would be.
