According to SI, Pryor is now eligible for the supplemental draft, but will be suspended for the first 5 games.

The league informed clubs that Pryor "made decisions that undermine the integrity of the eligibility rules for the NFL draft." Among those, the league said, was his failure to cooperate with the NCAA and hiring of an agent in violation of NCAA rules.

I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised. It's mostly for show at this point, but still a nice gesture.

It's good they're making him serve his time, but it really doesn't matter because I highly doubt he would even be playing that early on anyways. He shouldn't even be eligible for the draft in my opinion.

I don't see a team taking a player who is suspended the first 5 games of the season only to lose the corresponding pick in next years draft Sorry Terrel your should have taken your punishment like a man.
Unless they say they'd take them in the last round.

This is BS......5 games don't mean squat! He'd be sitting on the sidelines anyway learning the playbook. No matter what team takes him I highly doubt he would see any playing time this year. The only way to punish him is to make him wait till next year before making any money.

It's without pay, also, though. If I read the article on ESPN correctly

Weak

I think the punishment is weak. Mike Golic said it best, he will still be able to get paid and receive a play book. Pryor never would have played this year anyway so a 5 game suspension is worthless. I don't think he should have been eligible this year.
