Notre Dame not mentioned once in that entire statement. Yet everything still reads ex-Irish coach. I truly wish Corwin the best and that he gets the help he needs.

The clips of Golden Tate yesterday had me thinking about some of those teams. I Googled Corwin Brown thinking that I wouldn't find anything of real interest. I did find this somewhat recent video where his kids talk about the mental decline of their father and the major impact it had on each of them. Kids were approximately 8-13 at the time of the incident.

Pretty brutal story. Corwin always has a special place in my heart. First home game my dad and I attended was Navy, 2007. We went to the pep rally the day before and Brown was the last guy up (if my memory is correct) and gave a great speech about how "everyone wants to be part of something special". Think it was the week Robert Hughes' brother was shot and killed. The result of the game didn't go our way but it was a great trip for me and my father. Glad Brown's kids seem to be doing well.

Thanks for sharing. What a tragedy. Every one of them are fortunate to be alive. Makes me wonder how much improvement has really been made in CFB & NFL to prevent this. Sadly, we won’t know until it’s too late for a lot of the guys that end up w/ similar symptoms.
