I will say the QB's. Someone has to feed Floyd the ball. Plus, I like the depth and versatility with regards to experience, arm strength, speed, and ability to win. I feel like each one brings something different to the table.

Second unit are the specialists, but as a former kicker, I am partial to them. Ruffer is a beast.

A lot suddenly became clearer.

I'm late to this party...but definitely D Line based on the depth and potential beyond the current level of awesomeness.

Those starters are definitely BCS calibur...and the backups are nearly as good...with potential to surpass them given a few seasons...some before that maybe...
They are the LYNCH pin of the entire defense...pardon the pun!
I don't anticipate Lynch surpassing KLM or EJ this season...but it sounded good.

I'd probably choose the O Line as my 2nd...BCS calibur group...tons of depth and flexibility...the future in the trenches is so bright.

I'm traditionally a skill position lover too...I played RB, S, CB, and a little WR.

Something about the pure brute strength and power of this teams line units just gets me excited...

Ok, I will be the odd one out......... I'm going with our offensive line.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Many coaches will always say that the game of football is won in the trenches whether it be offensive or defensive. I have to agree with many here that our d-line is impressive and there is depth to rotate and clearly have a fresh squad to be very very competitive.

Open some holes for Wood. With Wood's speed, daylight will make Wood a happy camper. It will also give him better chances of staying healthy throughout the season since the secondary will have to make the tackles. The holes will make secondary’s cheat offering better options for Crist and play-action. If the Irish get into where they can play-action 35-40% of their plays, WRs are going to have fun.

We have two Jr’s and three Sr’s starting this year with Ragone and Eifert on the ends. The experience is definitely there. We weigh 1530 between the bookends, this should be ample protection for Crist and Wood.

Exactly why they were a close 2nd...I chose D Line basically because I LOVE watching a dominant defense shut offenses down. They are really probably close to even...
practicing against one another has to be very helpful for them when they get the chance to do so.

I am amped up for this season. For one reason, long snappers. Crisp, spirally snaps, mmmmm. Seriously, I'd have to say the LBs, with both lines secondarily.

We have to get it done on the O-line brother! Even though I would have chosen D-line if I would have got to this thread ealier, I'm going to stick to my guns.

BTW, I really hope Golic Jr. gets some good playing time this year. Even though he is listed under center, I hope he can move into some guard plays and make a good showing for Dad.
