EA NCAA Football 2012

Finally played my first game in dynasty mode last night. Some thoughts.

I've got it on All-American and the game seems appreciably more difficult this year.

I could not do anything on offense for the first half against USF. Threw two picks early on with Crist, Daniels fumbled on the second play of the game, and I could not find the end zone.

They really did make the zone coverage better. You can't even zip balls into players and have them hang on to it if they are immediately hit by someone in the secondary. One of my picks was def because of the new coverage.

Still pretty tough to run the ball, right? Just constant penetration from all angles anytime I tried to pound it on the ground.

Finally made some plays in the 2nd half with a 60+ TD pass to Eifert, and a game-winner from about 40+ to Floyd with less than two to go.

Played well on defense...limited USF to about 250 yards. Seems like it's tough to tackle when you're moving fast, no? Numerous times I came up to make a tackle and I would just flat out miss the guy with the ball.

I was down 16-6 in the third...came back and won 23-16. My confidence is not that high.

I think I still have my Dynasty on the default setting which I think may be Varsity so I will def have to bump that up. Yes, coverage is a LOT better. Sometimes stupid good though. I'm learning how to pick it apart nonetheless though.

1/3 of the way through season two as SMU's head coach... won the New Orleans Bowl and am ranked 9th going into a conference showdown with TCU ( I re-did the big 12, UT went indy and all the other sizable Big 12 schools joined and made an all texas divison with all the other Big 12 teams making the non- texas divison)


Notre Dame went 10-2 and lost to Nebrsaka in the title game... then started 1-4 so far in season two...

It was a rhetorical question. Purdue is a trap after the trip. Miami will be seeking revenge. The two Michigan teams always give us hell. Landry will have gone pro, but so will Manti, Harrison, and Floyd. Oklahoma will be TOUGH. Then we get USC.

I pay about 4 bucks a month to play online without worrying about hackers bringing down the whole system!
