Some of you may ask the question "Why would I take Brazil Pick'em for -135 when I could take Brazil to win on the Moneyline for +130? It is the same thing, right?"

No, it is not the same thing. If you take the Brazil Pick 'em and the game finishes 1-1, it would be a push and you would get your money back. if you took Brazil on the moneyline and it finishes up 1-1, you lose because the Draw Moneyine would be the winner---which is the reason Brazil Moneyline pays out better than Brazil Pick 'em (Handicap).

Also, a "Pick 'Em", or "Pick" as it is also commonly refferred, is a way of saying the game, based on location and other factors, is an even match-up and could go either way. Therefore, they do not assign a handicap (i.e. point spread/goal spread).

The only way it can finish in a tie is if the game goes to penalty kicks right? This is the quarterfinals. There has to be a winner.

My bad, you are pretty much correct. If the game is tied after 90 minutes, then the Draw is the winner. And the Pick 'Ems would push. But yea, it would go to penalty kicks for the winner.


EDIT: I need to check on this. Isnt there extra time before they would go to penalties?

Yeah there is extra time the French/England game went to extra time yesterday before penalty kicks.

EDIT: they're giving the ball away way too much in the midfield which is leading to some odd man rushes. Either pack it in or push forward... being cute with the ball in no man's land is the easiest way to give up a cheap one.

I agree but I'm defiantly impressed with how their D is responding to Brazil's counter attacks, they look very confident.
