DITTO!

You know what, let me add something I haven't seen here yet. I'm not an action movies guy at all, unless they are really well done. So for me, I LOVE the Bourne Identity trilogy. So well made. And the books, while very different, are phenomenal as well.

And speaking of action movies, add to the guilty pleasures list - Speed (the movie, not the drug NDOM). Keanu Reeves is awful yet spectacularly awesome at the same time.

Okay, so I kinda have a thing for apocalyptic movies, zombie movies, and demonic/exorcist movies.

And I was reminded of this because you said Keanu and as fun as he is to make fun of, I like the movie Constantine.

And another good one of his is The Replacements. That's a pretty dang good football movie.

I just saw Devil on cable the other night. Had zero expectations and thought it was going to be horrible. Actually a pretty good movie, I thought. Some really creepy scenes. I didn't like the ending, though. Good entertainment for a couple hours.

Guilty pleasures from the sci-fi realm...Flash Gordon (Sam T. Jones), The Black Hole. Would love to own The Black Hole on DVD...haven't seen in ages....

lol. Flash Gordon. Is that the movie you and I had a "movie game watch" session? We watched the whole dang thing from start to finish. Too fun.

I think I have to add The Book of Eli, yes Titanic. Pearl Harbor. Step Brothers, if you are into that kind of comedy. Dazed and Confused. My favorite horror movie IT. I am sure I will add more later.

American Psycho. Christian Bale should've won his oscar for it.

"There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there. "

So hard to pick just one... it depends on my mood...

usually when asked about the best movie ever I top my list with Forrest Gump so yeah...

though The Natural, Godfather 1 &2, Rudy, We are Marshall, Night of the Living Dead, Goodfellas, Shawshank Redmeption, and many others would all get mentioned depending upon my mood.

Another one I forgot!!! Damn it. Man, what a movie. Easily one of my favorites.

I remember when it came out, I think I was in high school, and people were boycotting it because it was so racist. And then I watched it and it was the exact opposite. It was all about condemning racism, and how the main character completely transofrmed and tried to get his brother to do the same.

People can be so stupid sometimes.

When I was in Iraq we were watching this movie and someone asked for it to be cut off. I was actually surprised because it is such a good movie.

Anyone here like The Big Chill? That is another I left off my top-10, only because I forgot about it. But I love that movie. Even though its about college friends, it reminds me a lot of my group of friends from high school.

Plus, it probably has the best soundtrack of any movie I can think of. (Royal Tenenbaums is a close second.)

agree, great sound track. i used to have that one on cassette.

That's like saying Requiem for a Dream promotes drug use. Some people genuinely enjoy being morally outraged for some reason. Ed Norton nailed that role as well. All around fantastic movie.

Bit of a chuckle here: I have mentioned Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and posted the song "Black Sheep" from the movie a couple of times. It keeps showing here on SoCal cable a lot this past month, but I've only caught parts. Well, it is 1:58 in Cali right now. I am home. and HBOSIG is showing it at 2:00. I finally get to see the start of that silly movie that I still can't figure out why I am chuckling every ten seconds.
