I think Claussen got a bad rap too. I ran into him a couple times and found him to be a nice kid (a bit goofy and immature, but that is just his nature). He was polite and accomodating and good natured. It was only two brief conversations but he seemed like a pretty decent young guy to me.

Who really cares anymore? He had one of the best QB seasons ever at ND, played hurt with no D, and didn't whine by most accounts. It is a non-issue, and talking crap about former players reps accomplishes nothing. Would ND have been better if he went to USC? No.

Sorry, Junk, didn't mean to **** in your cornflakes, just thought people were sharing stories and personal stories about Jimmy. I never personally met him, and was just sharing what a classmate of his told me.
