Really wish we would show pig some more love, it seems like he has alot of interest in us even though we have been after other slot prospects harder.

This.

And WTF? Our favorite targets are dropping like flies.

I just finished saying this on another thread, but our recruiting experts keep saying that from here on out, we're looking for elite recruits who will be waiting to see how ND does. We WANT to land elite recruits, right? If you have faith in this team and this coaching staff, a great season will help ND land MANY more top recruits. Mike Frank keeps saying how new names will pop up, elite prospects, if ND starts off hot. So we don't even need to trip right now.

Maybe I'm the minority, but for once, this sh!t doesn't really even bother me. Instead of HOPING that we'll be good/great this year, I'm pretty dang positive that we'll be very good this year, with 9-10 wins very attainable. And with 10 wins and a good/great bowl, we'll have another top 10 class. No doubt.

The only good news to come out of this is that Zac was recruited as a RB for Clemson, and fills their one scholarship set aside for that position this cycle for them. While I am sure they would still take Keith Marshall if he wanted to commit, it has to hurt their chances with him that they grabbed a solid RB now. Ditto for Mangus.

good point, this does help with Mangus. Kimbrow was down there recently also.

And another one's gone, and another one's gone and another one bites the dust! I have to quit getting so giddy over all these threads....just frustrating when we appear to be so close...and yet....

It's interesting to read other elite teams' threads...their fans believe they're going to land precisely the same players that we discuss on this thread.

Guess it's time for a leave of absence. My ticker needs a rest.

Well, you know me, overreacting and all.

There are many we haven't even heard of yet.
Last year
EVERETT GOLSON came out of the blue--Who is this guy?
KYLE BRINDZA, never heard of him.
MATHIAS FARLEY, your kidding!

The previous year Danny Spond and TATE NICHOLS

Kelly's gang knows what's out there, they know what the score is. Have faith !!

There are a lot better guys out there than Zac Brooks.

If Zac was number one on the coaches' slot wr list then he is pretty damn good. I'm not super worried, but you can't act like there will be hundreds of better prospects. There better not be if the coaches had him as number one.

And you're using players that haven't played a down yet at Notre Dame to justify that there are talented guys out there that no one knows of yet. I think they will be successful at ND, but we don't know for certain.

And Brindza came out of no where? Wasn't he one of the top kickers on every single recruiting site?

The good news is that if we get Armani Reeves we are in great shape because he could play the slot or DB depending on how the rest of the class turns out.

There is also a really lowly rated guy from Maryland that apparently is a good slot prospect and we could probably grab him if we pushed hard. I think his name is Ian Thomas.

Well it stinks he committed to Clemson, but Chris Mangus who is a similar player is supposedly down to Clemson, UVA and ND. With Brooks committing to Clemson this can only help our chance with Chris Mangus :)
