Said it before, but I'll say it again: come back after the lottery results and you will have a much better chance at getting tickets. Basically no one has tickets right now.

I paid 375 apiece for two tickets in the north endzone area for last year's Michigan game.

Good game, good times.

ND tickets are pricey and worth the dough.

Alumni make a killing off of "extra" season tickets. ;)

Johnny I hope your kidding? I have tickets through my dad but i had 2 buddies that needed tickets. We went to Lot J at 8am to start tailgating. They walked up to the stadium and bought 2 tickets for seats right behind the flag pole for face value. Its a gamble, but you can def find tickets if you need them on gameday morning.

If a student is out of town for this game, are they allowed to resell their tickets or are student tickets different?

Student tickets come in a booklet in which no tickets can be removed (they look different than general admission tix anyways) and require a student ID to get into the game. So as far as I know, no, we're not allowed to resell, and yes, student tickets are indeed different.

I knew a guy that played for ND back in the 90's... His roommate was part of the booth/reporting staff on campus. He sold me his id and ticket and I got in. (he was of middle eastern origin....and I, on my bestest of days am still very, very, very much from Ohio and still white.)

It's a crap shoot to buy student tix... I was just lucky to know a kid on the team who knew a guy selling.

Actually, there is a way to go exchange your student ticket for a regular ticket and sell it at face value.

So would I, and I had tickets! But you know when you want something REALLY badly and events conspire to make it painfully clear that it isn't going to happen? Well, that's my USC/ND experience this year.

My wife and I were all set to go, had the go ahead to use her parent's season tix, and I was PUMPED. Then in January she decided that she was ready to get pregnant (I'm 9 years older, so I'm more then ready but she wasn't sure). I figured it would take a while for her to get pregnant. Nope. Happened right away, and the due date is Oct. 12th of course. There goes that.

And then this weekend, my close friend in Charlotte, NC called me and told me that he and his fiance had set a date, and of course, the wedding will be Oct. 22nd. And I'm in the wedding. So if the baby is born on time (her parents are flying to L.A. for a month so I won't be leaving her alone), I'll be at a damn wedding instead of watching the game (although my buddy knows I will be ducking in and out to check the game).

And...it's Go Irish's bday that day, and I could have partied/celebrated with him and watched the game at his place, and I can't even do that now! Sometimes, it's just not meant to be.

Tell you what though...not sure what the situation is with the tix I once had. If my in-laws don't promise them to anyone and are willing to sell them for some spending cash for Alyssa Rae (my unborn child LOL), someone might get lucky (if they are willing to pay). But I won't know that for a long while. Thx for reading, I have too much time on my hands today and this went waaaaayyy too long! Peace, and good luck!

Students can get up at the crack of dawn on the specified date and exchange their ticket for a regular admission ticket. Then, if they catch you selling for more than face, you're banned from ever getting tickets again. It's really, really not worth it for students to do it, unless they want someone they know to have one while they're away. There are also a specified number of tickets per game that the student body can exchange, so they'd have to get there extra early and wait in line just to have a chance.

The odds of a student doing that to sell to a stranger is pretty low, imo. I did it for my parents a couple years ago, but I didn't even think that was worth it.

So who all is going to this?

My Mom and I missed on the lottery... but luckily my Dad got 2 tickets so he and I are going to go (sorry Mom :/).

Do people ever hold an IrishEnvy tailgate? I think it'd be fun.

crazyness ...... u could get 2 tix for AF, Navy, Wake AND USF for $750 lol
I go to Ann Arbor every other year for the ND game , in '09 got 2 for face value ($50) and this year for the night game i got 2 at $100.

i got no prob watching the big games on TV and paying around $85 ea. to go to the Pitt's and Purdues. But if u can afford enough to donate and be in the lottery (or just end up paying out the ***) More power to ya. I know i would if i had that kinda scratch.

I believe its around 35 days till game time and i cant freakin wait

The last two I purchased from the university are a little lighter on the ol' wallet, against BC.

I'm only worried it may be too cold for the baby girl.

I've got my plane ticket and I'll got a house near campus that I'll be renting that weekend. I'm super excited because it will be my first trip to South Bend. I don't have my game ticket yet, but I'm hoping to find a decent deal on a ticket before I get there. Been looking online a ton and I'm hoping I don't end up with a nosebleed end zone seat for $400...cause that's what I'm seeing now.

So I am ready to buy my ND vs. USC tickets...Just looking for some advice. Stubhub has 2 side by side in sec 134 for 340.00 each. Should I pull the trigger now, or keep shopping? Thoughts?? Do you guys think I may be able to get a better deal? Since I just had a baby, and have to fly to Chicago my wife is trying to sell me on staying home and having people over. NOPE...I'M GOING!

It's risk/reward bro. If ND is as good as we hope, and USC gets to that game at say 5-1, that game is going to be off the chains and you will not get anything close to being as cheap as that. But if ND is 4-2 or even 3-3 (quite possible, believe it or not - but I DON'T believe that) and USC is 3-3 (very possible as they play at Utah, AZ, at ASU, and Cal), then that ticket won't be near that price and you can get a much better deal closer to game day. Or you can do what some people do and risk trying to get 2 tix at the actual game.

So you have to either wing it and pray you find someone that day willing to cut you a deal, or put your best prediction hat on and see what you think the teams' perspective records will be by that game, and buy or hold off. Tough call...

samething happened to me for the Bush push game. I guess my bud kinda needed a bestman so I kept running outside and listening to it on the radio. That really sucked
