We need to start beating them regularly...
I like it. This is going to be an important game to win each year, so ND can clearly differentiate itself as a football program. Stanford is just as attractive a destination as Notre Dame for the true student athletes, if not more so.
Therefore, ND needs to capitalize on this opportunity to demonstrate to prospective recruits that if they want an elite education and an elite football experience, there is only one choice: Notre Dame.
This year will be their last competitive year with us for the next four to five years- at the least, IMHO.
With Harbaugh gone, and Luck going pro after this season, you will see a decline that is inevitable.
They will field a tough defense due to great pick-ups the last few years though...
Yes.
The year Andrew Luck leaves is the year Stanford starts declining as a football program.
But as for that defense, they're landing some great recruits and are going to have a pretty solid unit next year. Their LB corps in particular is excellent. Several NFL prospects.
