Nagurski was one of four senior tackles when Nick Pietrosante was the All-American Fullback in 1958. [The others were Sam Palumbo, Frank Geremia, and Don Lawrence]. Playing inside them was All-American guard Al Ecuyer and his buddy, who for my money was just as good, Jimmy Schaaf. At center was to-be- great Steelers middle linebacker, Mo Pottios. At ends were to-be Bear Bob Wetoska and to-be 49er Monte Stickles. NOBODY wanted to see that line coming. Only really incompetent coaching was able to stop them. Rest-in-Peace, old warrior.
