Any GT5 players on the forum?
add
theflyingalamo to your PSN

I played 1-4 like crazy and just waited a good bit to get 5...I plan on getting it on
Friday...

So any tips or hints or anything of that sort to help get me started would be welcomed!

Thanks in advance...

GREAT NSD ND!

It's a great game. I haven't played it much cause I am still hooked on Black Ops. What I can tell you is it's important to play each challenge to level up and try to buy high hp cars in the used section to save money. Feel free to add me Jish420. Good luck man.

I enjoy the game but leveling up takes forever. just wish i could carry over all my cash from GT4 it would be a little more fun. Ive been enjoying NFS hot pursuit. just something about running from the cops makes it so much fun..lol

I was breezing through license challenges on International A at my buddies...so Licenses shouldn't be much of a difficult thing on my part this time around...I figured I'd be alot more rusty than I am...the new physics and damage are great!

I usually wait a good bit nowadays too...I got Madden and NCAA near the release...but for me to wait a month or so for GT5 is new to me...I always get addicted to these....so when you get it...let me know....I bet I'll still be playing!

Go to gamestop i love that place. they offer a 30 day warranty on most games. Ebay well dont really gotta say much about ebay when it comes to buying used games/movies

I am a RDR 100% club member, :)

I played the HELL out of it.
Got a bit bored with the Undead pack...but I'm sure I'll get back into it soon. Haven't even touched online yet...
But purchasing this guitar
<----- had alot to do with me pulling away from the games!

GT 5 is such a fantastic game. Learn to DRAFT!!! And level up you B-Spec for at least the Mazda Furia for the "like the wind" challenge in Extreme (If you are having a tough time, you can also purchase the ZR-1 COrvette and put a race kit on it, but it will cost ya, and that money is better served to save for the Formula GT race car you need to race in the Formula GT Championship)

Nurbergring is the most intense race track!! Its so much fun!! I have only beaten one endurance challenge, and I highly doubt I will ever do any more due to theym not having a save option, but everything else about the game is TITS!!!

Nice, I OWN THE RING

I slayed on that track in GT4
I knew it like the back of my hand!

Thanks for the tip on the Bspec...gotta lvl it up!

They really do need to have a save feature on endurance events...

I like to think I know it like the back of my hand too, but the AI is much much better so you really need to be at the top of your game in the Extreme Ring challenges. Tires hit the dirt/Grass just one and your playing catch up...

As for the B-Spec, its only to level 6 and the Mazda Roadster Challenge, super easy to beat, and the Mazda Furia is the ONLY car you can get that will handle the turns in the Indy in "like the wind". You can beat Daytona with the Veyron, but it doesnt stand a CHANCE in the Indy. the ZR-1 can easily win it, but I like a challenge :), plus i hate dropping money on a that car when making money is such a premium.

I wouldnt of beaten the Historic race car challenge if I didnt save up and buy the Toyata 7 70' race car, and it cost 14 mill!! Thats alot of 90k grinding :)

Can't wait to grab this game Friday!

I like that you can draft now too...
I'll work the ring til I know it better than I did before.
I used to watch videos on youtube of RUF cars doing hotlaps.
Oh the good ole days!

Brotherhood is pretty fantastic too

+1!!

AC series is amazing! How sweet is it to call your assasins in for sneak attack!!

Its kinda funny, outside of the normal sports games (Madden, NCAA, NBA, and FIFA), these are the ONLY two games I play, well 4 if you include the first 2 AC games :)

I'd like the COD games a bit more if I was any good at them, but the online play is just ridiculous. I can't even move or get setup because I get got every time I respawn. Story mode is great, but only last for about 2 days and its OVER....

OK...so I do have the game and have made adequate progress so far...
Does anyone have an recommendations on their favorite cars?
I don't really mean the BEST cars...just ones that are fun to drive...look f'n cool...whatever...

My first car was a Lexus IS200...never used it in a race...purchased a 69 Corvette and that was my main car so far...I've only done Sunday cup...the special events are eating up the bulk of my time.

So....any recommendations folks? What car should I pick up next ?!?!?

When i went home for Christmas Break my brother and I played this game religiously, and our favorite car was the 62 buick. It handled horribly but we put in enough money into it that it had upwards of 800 hp and it was amazing. I think you win this car in the american muscle challenge and it was well worth spending the money on a 69 camaro z28 to get this. Look into the buick it looks amazing and is really fun to see how bad you smoke the other cars off the line, especially on daytona.

haha it's extremely addicting. the one thing i really despise about the game is how the b spec you don't even race anymore, it's a waste of time.

I'm an A-Spec purist
But there are some sweet reward cars only in B-Spec mode.

B-Spec was in GT4 also

I much prefer to do the racing myself!

One of the coolest things I found in GT5 is the ability to buy used cars online or through the used car lot. I skipped GT4 but this is a pretty nice thing, especially since I was able to buy a buick grand national, although it's not gonna win a lot of races it's sure fun to drive.

There has always been a revolving inventory used dealership in GT games for as long as I remember...Great way to get some bang for your buck!
Does the online dealership inventory change?
