This is monstrous news. If we land Lynch too we're really looking at a dominant defense in a few years. Tuitt, Nix, Lynch up from is a dominant line, and with Ishaq coming in off the edge this could be an amazing defense in the future.

We actually could be looking at a turning point for this program where great things happen. The big knock on Kelly was that he couldn't recruit, and he is proving everyone wrong in that regard.

lol I just picture that around 4:00 am Diaco is maneuvering through NYC screaming and cursing at cab drivers while pounding his 9th redbull of his 1100 mile drive, because there wasn't a red eye available, he is just flat out determined to get that kid to ND. He's the Dark Knight.

Because he's the hero Notre Dame deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll mock him, because he had a bad Navy game. Because he's not the hero. He's a silent guardian, watchful protector. The Dark Knight.

Did Diaco cook breakfast too?

But seriously, a lot of credit is given to Alford.
But this time it's Diaco's moment.

Diaco went balls to the walls and picked up one of the best players in the country.

I'm happier then all get out right now.

It really looked like Ishaq was going to PSU.

Diaco, you are the ****ing MAN!!!!!

I think Peter played for the "other" team. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

"He showed up with his hair perfectly coiffed and his loafers shined," joked Williams. "At 4:30 in the morning Diaco didn't have to verbalize how important Ishaq was to them."

"Penn State was going to be the announcement last week (at the Army game)," continued Williams. "But he made his decision (for Notre Dame) this morning as Diaco was walking out the door."

"When he took football out of the equation, it seemed like the best place for a unique academic experience."

Remember when everyone wanted to fire Diaco? Gooood times.

This class is turning out to be the class that we all thought we were going to get last year. 2010 was supposed to be an epic year with all of the players that we thought we would get for sure. 2011 has been an epic year in which we have gotten players that I never thought we'd get. Who would have ever thought that we'd go into Georgia and pull a top DE? Who would have thought we'd go into New York and pull out a top LB that was a Syracuse legacy? Who would have thought that we'd go into North Carolina and pull a top rushing LB or go into Texas and pull the best offensive and defensive players from one of the best teams in the state. I am ecstatic about the work Kelly, Diaco, Alford and Co. have done in their first complete class at ND. National Digning day can not arrive soon enough.

Welcome to the family Ishaq. You are gonna be a legend and part of something truly special!

It was meant to be a rhetorical question encapsulating the irrational joy we all have for a monster recruit "picking the right hat." Way to be a buzzkill, Johnny.

I do like the sound of interplanetary champions, however.

Shaq!!!!! AHHHHH-AHHHH!!!! Savior of the Universe!!!!!! (NAME THAT TUNE)

Flash by Queen of course! "Dispatch only Diaco, to bring back his verbal!"

This is such good news! I'm so glad we have such a classy kid coming to the bend. Let's have the defense be dirty for years to come!

Or as Queen might say... "Open fire! ALL WEAPONS! (including Ishaq)"

Welcome Ishaq to the Notre Dame family, I can't wait to watch you do your thing! You and your team handled your recruiting with class.
