Lets see...it is early Sunday morning. The story has just started to get legs and earliest he could get on campus would be Friday the 14th (six full days from now) which is after he was slated to be on the f$u campus (Wednesday the 12th). Since this thread is a little more then 48 hours old, I am sure it will more then triple in hits/views by then. IE loves the Lynchs.

It is good to be back in the hunt Aaron. Listen to your mom..."follow your heart"...and hopefully that will bring you to South Bend!

I'm happy to live in Vegas so it's barely 10 pm and I planned on staying up for Jim Carrey on snl anyways. :) hope to hear great news for us Irish. If I were him or his mom, I would say sleep on it and prat on it then make your decision in the morning. I will however stay on here searching for the answer hahaha

some of my favorite tweets from tomahawk nation twitter:

# For the record, I feel the Lynch situation will last until Monday about 5 hours ago via web

# tomloy2002 And all is well again in the mind of Aaron Lynch. Jimbo doin' his Bowden impression and closin' the deal. about 6 hours ago via Mobile Web Retweeted by TomahawkNation and 4 others

# Hearing the FSU coaches have dispelled the lies told to Aaron Lynch by the Irish staff about 6 hours ago via web

# FSUROCKER There are several members of the FSU coaching staff FURIOUS over what the ND coaching staff told Aaron Lynch's mother. All will be resolved. about 7 hours ago via TweetDeck Retweeted by TomahawkNation and 16 others

The top one is a huge understatement.

Yes. I am not doubting our Notre Dame site, but kids text and say all sorts of stuff these days. It's almost wise to wait until it's confirmed on both ends of the situation.

Josh has been all over this from the start and will continue to be. I just wanted to pass along what the latest was.

If you are comfortable with it, then I am. Like I was implying, you know him better than I do and you would know if it wasn't on the up and up. This recruitment will be strange for awhile... He got what he wanted, he is the news. Little did he know that his play would have been the focal point of the news, but now it will be overshadowed by his recruitment.

"Lynch's play in the All American game was tremendous but his recruitment is just plain strange and full of twists...Let's focus on that"
lol

Close to the left coast and will be here for any new information. Not sure what else will be spilled but want to know what still lurks.

Go Irish!!!

This is too insane. So much fuss over Mr. Lynch.

The kid is obviously a great talent and the coaching staff really wants him to choose Notre Dame. He is worth fighting for till the end. I hope we get him and he turns out to be everything our staff thinks he could be. Go Irish!

It's so ironic how all of these FSU guys are "furious" about negative recruiting when FSU, UF, etc. are notorious liars and negative recruiters. Things like "you can't handle ND academics" and telling kids "you'll start immediately" when also recruiting a half dozen top notch kids for the same position and telling them all the same thing.

The bottom line is the way schools handle kids in the south is as pieces of meat or means to an end. If they can get someone better it doesn't matter what they promised you. It's all swept under the rug. There is no doubt in my mind that making a 40 year decision ND trumps FSU in every aspect. I hope Aaron sees the light and comes back to ND... if not I will wish him the best and hope that he doesn't end up seriously regretting his choice to go to a school that will not take care of him the same way ND does their players.

FSU is the same school that got busted for having players that read at a second grade level.

Haha no doubt. He is great at what he does though. Type of player you love to have on your team, but if your playing against him he is the scum of the earth.

Choosing a school with great academics could help him get a nice job after football.

Thus it isn't a four year decision, it's a forty year one.

lets say good ole aaron gets injured, and then lets say he can no longer play football...it would then be safe to assume the nfl is outa the question...so then what? so which degree do you honestly think is gonna equal a career equal to the money in the nfl? i'll tell ya 40 years from now when he retires from his career as a financially sound person, he didnt get a degree from friggin fsu - he has one from notre dame...does that help

Yes. A career after football since the average length of a NFL career is 3-4 years....

And you guys are spot on with the movie and Avery! Good stuff.
