as a cleveland fan and a notre dame fan, i pulled harder than most for quinn. i still don't think he got a fair shot. he showed flashes of brilliance in cleveland, but that was only when he had the talented receivers that we had when he was first drafted (now kellen winslow jr. and braylon dropwards are in TB and NY, respectively). when he played in '07 and '08 with those receivers, he looked good
but once we dropped winslow and edwards (get it? dropped? brayln edwards? dropped? heh.), he had litterally no talent to work with. he was not given a fair shot. while i don't think he necessarily has the arm strength or accuracy to be a front-line NFL starter, i think he was similar to a colt mccoy type guy who is very poised and good at managing games. when quinn was in cleveland, he did nothing to lose a game. it was usually the defense.
when he was let go, it was more because mangini thought he needed a change of scenery and we needed to go in another direction.
anyways, i hope quinn gets a better shot in the future, but on a good team with good receivers.
