Ya, he is a good coach. Hope he can get some fans in the stadium. Being from Pittsburgh, nothing is more pathetic than sitting in Hienz field watching a Pitt game....It's so blaaahh. I was at Charlies first game in Sept 05 and two years ago. Those are the only 2 games that it felt like a football atmosphere, and it was thanks to ND.

I went to the game at Pitt last year as well.

The guy I sat next to said the same thing.

They don't fill the stadium at all unless ND comes to town.

That would be terrible as a head coach.

I think this would be a pretty good hire, he had Miami(OH) playing pretty well this season, especially towards the end.

Oh no doubt a good hire, and Pitt is better than Miami of Ohio. It's a pass through job, if he does well, maybe he can get into one of the real conferences.

Hell I figured the MAC is considered the cradle of coaches. Tons of good coaches started out in the MAC.

Good for him. He's earned it.

2 thoughts

1) We now have to have a former ND player come in and coach against ND

2) If Pitt does well, I can't wait to go to the future nd-pitt games (been to the last 2) and tell their fans their own guy (Wanny) couldn't get it done so they had to hire a Domer.

P.S. Which AD job is the worst in the country for football? Miami of Ohio or Cincinatti? Both schools get solid coaches they can never keep
