Auburn's defense is pretty average. They have a couple really big difference makers but the defense as a whole has been this team's achilles heal for two years now.

50th in total defense this year.

68th last year.

They've played some good SEC teams (South Carolina, Arkansas, LSU) but they've also had the opportunity to pad their stats against Arkansas State, La-Monroe, and Chattanooga.

Alabama just turned the ball over deep in Auburn's territoy....can't keep the Tigers this close!!!

Game could easily be 42-7 right now. Two crucial missteps by Alabama in the red zone and the strip on the big play by Ingram are somehow keeping them in this game.

Irish fans should hate Alabama for the simple reason that the entire university claims the 1973 Nat'l Championship -- but ND beat them in the Cotton Bowl that year, and won the AP Nat'l Championship. By rule, the coaches didn't vote at the end of the season until later, and so AL counts that as one of their "15" or whatever inflated number they think they have.

That, and Katrina funds went to build condos around Bryant-Denny stadium.

Thing is, Alabama's season was already going to be a failure in the eyes of their fans. If they could have ruined Auburn's season while they were at it, I would have been much more happy.
