Some rumours are simmering that RR will be fired on Monday. Take it for what its worth, "sources" are high in the program.

Sidenote: in the big hypothetical (and largely unlikely) scenario where Harbaugh takes over for Rich Rod.... would that have a large effect on our recruiting class? I could see a lot of Stanford kids jumping ship/a lot of Michigan transfers/a lot of kids who did not like Rich Rod giving Michigan a second look.

This is going to be a very interesting Saturday in college football.

Harbaugh will not be going to Michigan. They are good amount of teams in the NFL that will be willing to pay him almost anything. And considering that Luck is probably going to the NLF this year look at maybe the Bills they need a QB and a head coach.

You obviously have not been watching Ryan Fitzpatrick light it up recently. And you're making a ton of assumptions. I do agree with you though that he will likely end up in San Fran or Cleveland.

I would be surprised if Michigan fires RR after this season. I could see him returning for another year but that is about it. He needs to do something with that horrific defense if he wants to stay longer for sure. His offense is decent, but it doesn't matter if you cannot stop anyone.

I have a friend who lives near Ann Arbor, and bleeds maize and blue, I told him that when Michigan was 5-0 that it wouldn't last long, and when I was right, he called me griping and complaining about how terrible they are and how terrible RR is. All I could manage to say was "Welcome to Notre Dame".

Well I'm not sure where you live, but I'm in SW MI 21 miles from south bend, and they are bad where I am from. I cannot even imagine what it's like to be a ND fan and live close to AA!!
