Players visit these sites and this is the only one I ever post on.

I know what is weighing heavily on your hearts today. Kahuku is much more than a great football community. It is a family of caring people. Far to often people focus on things that are nowhere near life itself. My heart goes out to you and I know this weekend will be very difficult to play through. I am a friend of his mom so I am absolutely crushed for her. She is one of the most wonderful people I've had the pleasure of knowing.

I broke down because she has gone through so much this past year with her family. They live down the street from Manti's family so they are all very very close. She would tell me stories of how all the cousins (Manti included) would play football out in the street. They worked so hard to become great players. Football means so much to these kids. They had all these dreams from when they were little. Such a fine young man and so sad.

The families have my prayers as well. I think the wonderful thing about ND is it doesn't matter if you are alumni, students, players, or just a fan, there's a sense of family. We are all behind you!

Umm thats rough and hard to read anything like that. No one deserves to lose their kids like that. In my thoughts and prayers.

A childhood Friend

As Pohaku mentioned, the young man was a childhood friend, more like little brother. A young man who Manti and Roby had mentored since they were in Elementary. A sad day for all in Red Raider Country. The USC game is dedicated to this young's memory.
