...but there is no question the firing of CW set ND back at least a year..

I believe alot longer than a year. I say easily 3, and maybe 4 years. Also setback the careers of players, I believe DC is caught in the middle of all this. Players like him are the ones I feel the most for, what they signed up for is no longer here. Give him and others players that stayed tons of credit, he kept his word and stayed at the school and didnt xfer.

Add Armando allen to that list as well....

There is one thing I don't get. When Weis was hired, he had no head coaching experience prior to Notre Dame. We know what happened in 2007 so let's put that aside, 2005-2006 and 2008-2009, Weis team performed better than current Kelly's team. Weis' team showed a lot of fight. I don't see that now from Notre Dame. I expect Notre Dame to play well even thought we know they may make mistakes due to Kelly's first year. I see the team have no fire and look lost when they get on the field. It didn't happen under Weis. It's either these players are wrong for Kelly, because it does not fit into his system or they lost faith in Kelly. Yelling at his players is getting old. Top recruits will worry if they come to Notre Dame, will Kelly yell at them? If Notre Dame needs a lot of great recruits, they better come up with a lot better than yelling. I would rather to play for a coach who likes to motivate his players and positive attitude knowing we make mistake than play for a coach who screams all the time. Boring.

I guess you dont remember 5'2 Lou grabbing 6'7 linemen by the face mask, bringing them down to his level and giveing them a piece of his mind....something tells me those players didnt mind the yelling with the results it produced.

Coach Kelly is one of the best coaches in the country. He does not have the players he needs, to do what he wants to do. Notre Dame is used to getting the best recruits in the nation. In todays era, we couldn't even get a "Randy Moss" type player if we wanted to. Besides the record and losing to tulsa and navy. I think he is the best coach for Notre Dame. I love his paasion and determination. This guy only has a few things in mind and at the top of that list is a NC. TO: Brian Kelly, I love ya man. Keep yelling at those players.
