And also when you grow up, you can get online and request that someone get fired or resign, even though you have ABSOLUTELY NO FACTS.

Because that's what mature people do.

Incidentally, there was a "situation" where a D1 college athlete died somewhat recently. The head coach himself changed the practice routine, and it is theorized the excessive workout led to the death. That coach is still coaching.

People who go rushing for someone's head, in a rush to judgement, over a situation they know nothing about and have no stake in the situation whatsoever are the troublemakers.

Interesting. I am not calling for anybody to be fired or hand in their resignation immediately. I am simply saying that I think someone should step to the plate and resign their position if it was their call to send the kid up there despite the weather warnings due to the wind.

If you are referring to George O'Leary, Head Coach of University of Central Florida, I have some news for you. Not only did the parents sue the UCF Athletics Association for wrongful death, but the judge ruled against UCF holding them liable. I have my doubts that coach will still be coaching next season.

I want to split hairs here, please bare with me. Im not taking his side at all. However,

I believe his above scenario is how the real world works. Its how I understand it to be, and its how I've seen it done in the past. By no means do I agree with it, matter of fact, I hate it. But there is truth in the above scenario. As far as how blame gets placed, and who gets that blame.

I have no idea how this fits into this tragedy over the death of Declan Sullivan. I have no clue if BK will be implemented in this or not. But you can bet, someone is getting fired. its might the low man on the totem pole and you never hear about it, or it might go to someone 'bigger' but someone will lose their job. thats just the way corporate is. In the corporate world, if no one gets fired, its almost like nothing was done about it. Again I dont agree, its just the way it is.

(a little off topic, but another example of corporate BS)

that is another hard one for me to get past. I have seen good, effective programs scrapped because some 'corporate' person didnt like the way something looked, even when the program was producing results. I have seen effective programs, replaced for ineffective programs and it makes no sense. I rationalize this in my head by reminding myself, "thats the way they want it."

When the investigation is finished we should know a lot more regarding this and who is at fault.

As the guy above me mentioned, this is what happens in the corporate world.

There is always someone who will take the blame to protect the corporation.

Just as a tidbit I am watching Outside the Lines on ESPN and one of their main topics is this tragedy.

And the couple guys that they brought on to talk about the incident both said Kelly would be the "CEO" of the practices, something i brought up.

Just thought i would relay it that it wasn't only my mindset who thought that.

I don't miss Charlie- If we were undefeated would you be calling for BK's resignation right now? An accident occurred. The university in general will pay for it. It’s a very tragic situation and a young man lost his life... But please SHUT UP. You sound stupid. I bet you were calling for BK's head before this tragic event. You seem to have no trouble insulting others. Are you the only one on here allowed that privilege? You have no trouble contradicting yourself. Look at your first sentence in the above post: "I am not calling for anybody to be fired or hand in their resignation...I think someone should step up to the plate and resign their position..."

In your initial post, you are calling for Kelly's head. Then on another thread, you say "Anybody who thinks Kelly needs to be fired after 1 year due to our performance is out of their mind."

Your talk about the corporate world as FACT reminds me of the saying "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing."

And then you, oh all knowing one, mature father and oh so powerful manager, choose a screen name from behind a comp called "I Dont Miss Charlie." Please further inform us how the mature world really works.

I am not interested in getting into verbal arguments online. I understand that your youth and temper is leading you to react this way.

I clearly stated "if it was their call".This is the part of my comment which you chose to ignore when you responded. You also chose to ignore where I clearly stated that anybody who thinks Coach Kelly needs to be terminated for the performance on the field is out of their mind.

Sending me messages and calling me names doesn't show you being a mature adult.

This has nothing to do with football at all.

I am not an Irish fan, instead I am a Notre Dame alumnus. Im only commenting due to hearing about this tragic accident involving a Notre Dame student. A tragic accident that could have been avoided with better judgement by the adults who were present.
