First time on this board - (Welcome ricknj6, thank you very much). I see there are a couple folks who know their way around Notre Dame football and many more who want to "give it time." Alleycat9, you know precisely what you are talking about, you are dead nuts, 100% right on. I gave this coach the benefit of the doubt. I actually believed this stuff about "personal development." But does this bonehead not understand what WIN means? Build all the character you want all week long, at the pep rally, in the first three quarters. But GD-it, when you are on the 19 YL, with the greatest kicker in college football waiting to pop it between the uprights, take your cheap win to the locker room, you friggin idiot! The campus NEEDS a WIN, with the other bonehead decision that was made during the week (to film the friggin practice in 50 mph winds - DUH !!). I'm in NJ, give me a break, we have to live here with Greg Schiano (Rutgers coach) - HE's the one who makes assinine decisions like this, not ND! And another thing, I DO NOT appreciate this thing of Kelly reaming out the players constantly on the sidelines. Does he have no respect? It's as if he can't take the blame for anything he does. A real eye opener is to go look at the post game video (put " Kelly defends game management" into google) and see what he has to say about winning, and how he would do it again. Arghhhhh.... !!
