ND # for me is 23 and 3. have a jersey in both numbers.

I was given the number 44 freshman year and wore it the rest of high school.

My number has always been 31. My coach gave me that number and I found out much later that was his number through high school and college. Still to this day it's my number. Plus, Kurt Rambis wore it back in the day and he was always one of my favorite players.

For sports that I play (Baseball) I'm #7 becuase of Joe Mauer.

62 also makes me think of ND, because that was my number as a kid; and anytime I played football I was also thnking of Chris Zorich(50), football, Notre dame, etc

whenever I see a defensive player with 97, it makes me think of Zorich on the Bears, which inevitably leads to me Notre Dame.

Yea buddy! 24 was my baseball number.

22 is for the guy who wears so many under armour wristbands that he can't even bend his elbows.

24 is a real athletes number, just ask The Say-Hey Kid.

since people are talking about actual numbers they wore....

mine is number 8 and it's been in the family ever since. my three nepews wore it and didn't even know i had it. kind of cool.

then my daughter was born at 8:52pm, 8 minutes to 9 and it all happened in room 8 on the 17th (1 + 7 = 8).

....yes, i'm sick.

I don't know what number he wore, but this seemed to be a likely enough thread to share this pic of Irish and Viking standout Alan Page. He's now a Minnesota Supreme Court Justice and my favorite ND grad – who also happened to play football.

He has made a habit of planting himself (with his junior high Sousaphone) on a corner near his home on the route of the annual Twin Cities Marathon. He plays "Whistle While You Work" as participants run by.

I love this guy!
