The advantage that ND gets from BC starting a freshman QB will be very small, if the D-Line doesn't win the battle against BC's O-Line. Unfortunately, I don't have a ton of hope for that happening. I'd still rather face a true freshman in his first start, but I would place more emphasis on it, if our D-Line had shown the ability to put pressure on a QB.

Come on... really?

A small advantage from a freshman qb in his first start?

i tend to lean toward kmoose on this terrytate. people no matter how inexperienced or mediocre they've looked before facing us (i.e. pitt last season, sorry can't remember the qb's name), they end up usually having a career day.

i fully expect this QB to make a run for heisman contention after facing us. i'll be in full stress mode on the couch, maybe some pacing b/c of it. i have simply seen too many career days againt us to not expect another, no matter who the coach.

facing a new unknown quarterback getting his first start against us has me a little concerned as well. It seems that a fair number of quarterbacks have given us some fits in the past. I will say that I expect us to win this game. We need to get this thing going and now is the time to do it. we have only won 1 game out of the last 8 games since last season? Today is the day where I hope we get a much needed victory and to look towards the future.

these young qb's really have nothing to lose. so they get to play care free and sling it. hopefully we bring 'im back down to earth.

BC starting a freshman quarterback can end in two results tonight the way I see it..., either this kid has a field day against us (dont see that happening btw) or we pressure him all night and rattle him a bit. I think the key for Boston College will be the run and we need to stop the run. If they have a decent game on the ground, that will allow that freshman quarterback to make a few easy passes to ease him in. If we stuff the run and put the qb in third and long situations, that will be to our advantage..., I think the key here is stopping the run and that will eliminate any chance of Rettig having a big game against us.

At least you don't have to make a special $24 dollared purchase through f'ing dish network to see the game... ABC isn't televising the game in my area.

As Terry Tate would say, the anger sharks are swimming...

I would say that. And that's some bull**** about dish network. That's a case of beer!

Quit yer bitchin'. At least you can spend $24 and watch the game on TV. I have to watch it online, because if I want to purchase it from ESPN's GamePlan, via Comcast, I have to buy the whole f'in season, at $135.

If we can actually make this guy look like a Freshman - that would be a mark of change in the program (ie. progress)

I don't want another Tate Forcier game.
