He was 16-of-33 for 188 yards and an INT in his first start today.

Yes. Granted, he has an overrated offensive line and running game, coupled with a talentless receiving corps (except Steve Smith, but he's getting old).

He looked like 2007 Jimmy in the first half but then calmed down and played really well and made some nice throws the second half. His receivers had a lot of drops that hit them in the hands. Carolina really needs to bring in some talent at WR if they want to ever have a chance.

Michael Floyd should be available in the teens range, where the Panthers will end up.

Michael Floyd should be available in the teens range, where the Panthers will end up.

The way he has played this year doesn't warrant a top 20 pick. I hope he stays, and tears it up as we improve over the next year and half+.

sucks ND QBs haven't been very successful in the NFL in quite some time.

Only big names I can think of recently are Clausen and Quinn - both considered NFL busts.

It's just my opinion but I think Clausen had more of a chance than what Quinn had.

It looks like experience in Trestman's system does buy him a chance after all. Tough break for Flacco, lucky break for Clausen.

I'll admit, I thought he was probably done too when I read that the Bears released him. We'll see what happens in Baltimore though.
