Damnit Diaco...

Martin may be the vocal guy for the Defense on the field. Good to have a former head coach there if Diaco isn't.

It'll be interesting to see how the Freshman QB battle will play out over the next few years.

Hendrix has been pegged as a prostyle QB but watching some of his youtube video's he's running all over the place and throwing on the run. Looks like he's perfect for the spread.

Crist and Hendrix were both projected as pro-style QBs.

Hendrix gives up 2 inches (or maybe 3 judging from Practice Reports), but they had similar weights and speeds coming out of HS. Kelly closed well on him, keeping him out of Meyer's hands. He's going to be good.

No mention of Filer anymore at OLB? Just Neil and Smith. Wonder what is up with that. A few days ago Filer was running with the 1s.

since when? a few days ago he was in the OLB spot opposite Flemming. I didn't hear Kelly say anything about him moving behind Flemming. Am I missing something?

Well there's 2 OLB positions. Neal is starting over Smith, Fleming is starting over Filer. The depth chart is constantly moving. He'll get reps at both spots. All 4 will see significant time.

Filer is also cross-training at both. I think that he is such a physical freak that if they keep him mentally in the game, Filer on the field then means very good things. At either position.

Hendrix must have a stronger arm than Dayne. Wow. He's gonna be throwing absolute lasers once he puts more muscle on him.

This is what I've been saying about Hendrix. This kid is head and shoulders above Rees, Massa and Montana in the raw skill department, arm strength especially.

Plus, he seemed awfully polished in high school, made plays with his feet and looked like someone who could pick up the offense relatively quickly.
