Does Rich Rod really think this will help? Sounds like a pretty desperate move to me

The offense is going to be only as good as Robinson can take it. They have no star WR, TE or RB.

We wouldn't really have a 'star' RB this year, hopefully one will break through, but last year we had Minor and Brown (both seniors) who had injury ridden seasons.

Our TE probably could be a star in a pro style system, but just doesn't get the passes that yours does. But he is pretty impressive, YouTube - Kevin Koger One-Handed Catch.

As for wideouts, most of us are pretty high on Roundtree, but there is plenty of depth behind him. We may not have a Floyd, but we do have loads of threats at this position.

While the loss of any player isn’t good this isn’t near as bad as Turner or Woolfolk, White would have been a great back but was buried in the depth chart and apparently didn’t like it. I wish him the best.

also to answer the original question of this thread, yes it seems it did work.

Michigan QB Tate Forcier humbled by competition - ESPN

on the wings:
A couple days before the scrimmage, Forcier practiced with the school's famed wings on his helmet for the first time in camp after being relegated to wearing one without the maize decals.

"I saw it more as a challenge," Forcier said. "The majority of our team had their wings. I didn't. It made me work a little harder to get them back. I got them back, so I'm happy."

and on Woolfolk calling him out:
He was challenged earlier in the month when defensive back Troy Woolfolk said Forcier was falling short of the senior's expectations during summer workouts.

"I'm happy he did call me out because it's about the team," Forcier said. "There's no 'I' in team, and that's something Coach Rod likes to get across to everybody on the team. All I did was keep working and gained the respect back from the coaches and everybody.

"I felt like I was working with the team, just not as much as I should've been," he added. "Part of that is maturity."

Things like this should never go public, especially at the collegiate level.

I have heard Fitzgerald Toussaint, Vincent Smith and Stephen Hopkins as impressing at running back.

Roundtree. Didn't he lead the team in receiving yards on the year, but he caught all but two of his passes in the last four games? He's small, so I'm hoping press coverage with a safety over the top can handle him. Stonum is supposedly impressing in camp, yes? He's been disappointing (13 catches all of last season), but if he hits full potential, he could be very, very good. People are high on Ricardo Miller, as well.

I was referring to the Woolfolk comments. When stuff like that goes public it means that the internal cup has over flowed.

Us old guys always called that "Internal Combustion", and no team that I played on that had it ever played up to its potential--- there was fuel in the fire but the wheels were rolling in opposite directions.
