I am sitting outside, on my laptop, looking at the Alaska Range a few miles north of Denali National Park. I'm at a little place called the Earthsong Lodge, which I highly recommend staying at if you ever happen to come up to Denali for a visit. It's a bunch of little cabins looking over the beautiful taiga with the mountains pushing up into the clouds behind them. It's at the top of the ridge which gives such an incredible view. Moose, bears, wolves, Dall sheep; it's all here and it's beautiful. Sometimes having the in-laws come to visit works out in the end. I'm in one of the most isolated places on Earth, but thanks to the evolution of our species, I am able to gloat about it to all of you. I brought this computer because I have work to do, but as I'm sitting here I realize how absolutely gorgeous it is, and I needed to tell someone. I hope you're all having fun.

P.S. I have four bars of connection and the speed is not much of a knockoff from Anchorage!

Totally forgot to respond to your question. I wasn't aware of being able to view it, but we are in bed pretty early since our 17 month old daughter was accompanying us. One cabin, two beds, and a little pullout which the baby slept on didn't leave us much room for movement after 2000 when Olivia went down. The proprietors of the lodge were all about giving you information so I would imagine if we could have seen the meteor shower they would have told us.

eNDzone: I would take that deal! I haven't been to a game since 03 USC@ND. Talk about a beat down.
