I had to do a double take and was panicking that we were going to take another tight end this recruiting cycle.

That is a HUGE junior though. I'm sure he could put on some too and be an offensive tackle coming in with that frame.

What the hell is going on in the Pacific Northwest nowadays? We talking HGH in the drinking water instead of fluoride? Christ... never seen this many tall, stud players coming out of rain country.

IrishIllustrated.com - Gators lead for top tight end

4/1

Gig Harbor's (Wash.) Austin Seferian-Jenkins traveled down to the Sunshine State with his mother for spring break. Seferian-Jenkins, one of the top tight ends in the country, came to visit Miami and Florida. After arriving at UF, he realized one thing; it's different.

"The climate is different, the football intensity is different; it's just different from Washington."

...

"(The coaches) were just straight forward and honest. I really love coach Urban Meyer, he's really cool. He told me what he thought about me, his honest opinion, and what he thought I could do for the team right now

...

the Gig Harbor standout will attend summer camps at Florida, UCLA and Washington. Seferian-Jenkins said he will only take three official visits next season and Florida will receive one of them for sure, along with UCLA.

...."straight forward and honest" Sorry, but I just puked a little in my mouth. Honestly though, I do believe it will be interesting to see how good Florida does this year.

Down to his final 8 according to Rivals, although I can't read it. Figured I'd bump it if there was any information anyone would like to share.

Here is what he said:

“My list is Washington, UCLA, California, USC, Alabama, Texas, Florida, and LSU. That is it, I am not looking at any other schools."

Those are some big-time schools there. Hope he chooses UCLA!

Yea it would have been nice to make the final cut, but we are pretty stacked at Tight End, even with Ragone's departure. Unproven, but a lot of talent behind Rudolph and with the addition of Ben, it will be tough to get playing time at the position. I think his commitment and our quality depth will scare any other Tight End prospects off.

ND never had a chance with him as he wants to be a TE and ND was the one school that wasn't recruiting him as a TE. They wanted him as a DE.

ESPN's changed him from a top TE to a Top 10 OT.

Scout gives him 5 stars as their #3 TE while Rivals makes him their #1 TE with one less star.
