West Virginia Mountaineers accused of five major football violations - ESPN

Say it ain't so! Moving, forward, how do you think this is going to impact his time at Michigan, an upstanding academic institution which prides itself on the quality and character of its student-athletes and their coaches? I suppose his seat could just get hotter, which isn't really possible. This is all dependent upon the NCAA proving the violations, but let's call a spade a spade here. They can't really throw him out before the season, so he'll prolly get this season, and then, regardless of his record, which won't be BCS worthy, they just have another good reason to give him the boot.

This guy has been doomed since he arrived. Can't win and all kinds of allegations.

P.S. Move this to, "Other College Football" :)

My family is personal friends with Bill Stewart [even still refer to him as "Billy"]. Everyone down here in WVA is worried because at least half of these "violations" [if true] are on his, not Rodriguez' watch. WVA [the people] would like to see this whole deal be regarded as exceptionally minor and just go away, as they generally like Stewart whether he turns out to be good as a head coach or not. We shall see. Bill Stewart, by the way, is as nice a guy as he seems on TV, but it would not stun everyone to find that every last detail wasn't covered by him.

I hope Rich Rod stays at Michigan as long as possible.

Me too. But you have to think it's only a matter of time before MeatChicken dump DickRod.

I wonder if they'll try to pull Les Miles from LSU or Jim Harbaugh from Stanford?

If they were hunting for a good used car, then I'd recommend one with Les Miles... might be a better fit as a coach too.

Harbaugh will be beasty at Michigan, but you have to wonder if he will tread the deep waters of tough admissions to try to create that Stanford dynasty...

I would prefer Les Miles then. I don't think he's that great. Probably a pretty decent x's and o's guy, but he might actually get canned at LSU this year. Harbaugh scares me a little.
