Which of our dormant rivalries do you wish we still played?

I would like to add Penn State, becuase that would be a very easy game for me to get to, and I enjoyed crushing them in '06.

Any and all of the above - PSU, FSU, Canes, Vols - all those are great, fun rivalries.

I know it's not a traditional rivalry, but I would love to see ND play UCLA more. Purely selfish because I much prefer going to the Rose Bowl rather than the Coliseum.

I know this isn't a rivalry but why doesn't ND ever play IU. At least I would be able to shut my IU fan/co-worker up when we beat them.

IU does seem like a natural team to play - it would seem that they could occasionally play IU in place of Purdue although Purdue has been such a long standing game.

PSU, OSU, Miami and Florida State were all great rivalries.

It would be great to see some of them on the schedule again. Miami is a start.

I think Alabama is the one game I would most want to see more regularly. I absolutely loved how Ara owned Bear Bryant in big games. Texas (which appears to be on the way) and Bama are the cream of the crop right now. It seems that those are the type of games BK wants.

West Virginia is another team that would be fun to play - not a real longstanding rivalry but a couple of exciting bowl games in the past.

I would like to see ND renew the rivalry with Nebraska. Back in the 90's when i was just a Domer In Training i remember going to those games with my dad and the were IN-TENSE! I MEAN THE WHOLE freaking season was dwarfed by the Nebraska game. Nebraska was THE team to beat back then. Those games were awesome. Now that nebraska is in the big 10 I think its highly possible that we could play them in the next 5 - 8 years.

Northwestern would be great for me, I'm only 20 minutes away from Evanston. We used to play them as a tune up game every year and then that '95 incident happened.

I also would like to see more games against Nebraska or Iowa. That could be fun. But I would never picture Iowa scheduling ND.

My understanding is it is a respect thing. OSU and ND don’t want to play each other due to a natural respect for one and other, so we will only play when we are forced to play one another (‘05 Fiesta Bowl) I know I read this somewhere on IE, and someone said that if you didn’t know why OSU and ND don’t play each other than you were not a true ND fan. I looked for two days as to why we don’t play one another, but could not find what the hell that guy was talking about. So that was my take from that post, but I could be wrong.
