Where Would You Rather Watch A ND Game?

Considering that when you go to a Notre Dame game now, its more like going to church, nobody really gets loud, when the team walks into the stadium its a joke, nobody lines up expect for a small crowd who barely cheers and when they do cheer they want to make sure they dont offend the person standing next to them, even though its a football game and if you dont want to hear someone getting loud you should stay home in the first place anyway, then once you get into the stadium the first time you cheer loud, 14 old people turn around and look at you like your doing something wrong and if your real lucky they'll call the stadium police on ya, so yeah thinking about it like that, i rather just watch the games on TV, although i wouldn't turn down going if someone had a extra ticket or something

The stadium. I love to get into the game and sometimes that means getting loud. I've got tickets to Kelly's first game and I'm loving it. There is always the recorder to get a 2nd look when you get home.

I wouldn't mind watching ND play while sitting at the 50 yard line of whatever championship bowl game they are playing in. Otherwise, I have figured out that it is safest for me and humanity and small cute animals if I go the furthest most remote location that gets TV reception for the ND games.

Nothing beats the GAMEDAY experience at ND. It's the closest thing to heaven on earth!

Still got Hammond. Lining up in the back field is Barry Gallup(When it actually was James Aldridge)

I can stand that, but Pat Haden used to be the USC quarterback though. They got to ripping on the irish every three plays and i had to mute the TV.

I'm joining the long list of those who said "one game a year, because most at the game don't like to have a good time and cheer". Life-long friend and I went to the Duke game in 07 and the SDSU game in 08. We missed last year, but are heading to the Pitt gameOct. 9th.

There is something truly magical about being there though. I'm a fan of not having a jumbotron. It's cool when people actually have to watch the game with their own eyes, and figure it out for themselves without Tom Hammond spewing out white noise. I pray they find someone better to compliment his mundane dribble.

While splashing about with the Bunnies, would you going for the Pregame, Halftime and Postgame Trifecta? With a little sumpin', sumpin' between the 1st & 2nd and the 3rd & 4th quarters? You wouldn't want to miss the game, would you?

Would you?

clearly the stadium. i've been twice in my lifetime and plan on taking the wife and newly born daughter sometime when she's at an age to understand the importance of the experience. yes, being at home has its advantages but just being there and soaking up the atmosphere and seeing the game live is much more fulfilling.

GO IRISH!!!

I've been to 10-15 games at ND stadium, and it's awesome about once a year. I think I enjoy the game more at home though, in front of my big screen, with 7.1 surround, no annoying old people, and DVR instant replay! The atmosphere is great at the stadium (besides the old people), but I always feel like I miss so much of the game with no jumbotron, no instant replay etc. I'm perfectly happy watching it at home, because at the same time, if I go outside, I can hear the crowd noise often, living only a mile or so away. That said, I'll be all over free tickets to a game this year (if my relatives are giving them away again). I also enjoy reading the IE posts during the game from home, when they aren't ban-worthy.

Nothing beats the stadium, but watching a game on television has its advantages: you get to see the whole field. In the stadium, there may be some plays that you don't get a decent look at because of where you're sitting.

I love going to the stadium as much as anyone else on here and grew up going to about 2 to three games a year and when I was younger (meaning High school and early college) The stadium was and still is awesome. As I got older and wasing mooching off mom and dad was buying my own beer and tickets I decided the couch was a great place for a game. I did have to by myself a 60 inch high def sony though.....if i was gonna stay home so it was tradeoff....
